    How many here have varicocele?

Reckon mine was from cycling and mountain biking. Used to be well into it as a kid & was out on the bike all the time. Obviously nuts take a hammering

    Admiral’s PFS Log.. ARL/TEI since march 2018

Tell me about it! The doctor seems to think ferritin being high is confirmation of high iron, but clearly it’s not always the case.

Did you manage to get a precription for Xifaxan? (Rifaxamin) I tried unsuccessfully to get a prescription earlier from my doctor. Also tried to get serum iron tested - again, unsuccessful!

Thanks for letting us know! So you didn't experience any 'rebound' a few days after stopping, or anything like that?

    Cholesterol levels in PFS

Bile flow is no doubt impaired, but it's not a case of no bile. I've had tested done, including being injected with radioactive dye, drinking a high fat drink to stimulate bile flow, then lie in a CAT scanner for 2 hours. That showed normal bile flow, but I think it's not consistent, and...

    Cholesterol levels in PFS

I don't think I've actually had blood levels for cholesterol or triglycerides tested, but when I did a gastrointerestinal test (stool sample analysis), there was no detected cholesterol or triglycerides at all, even though at the time I was eating a totally normal diet with meats, fat etc

Gutcritters.com Garlic Tea Protocol (for SIBO)

Found a great resource for gut health issues (specifically SIBO and IBS). The author of the website seems to be someone a bit like Helen who researches everything very thoroughly, and thinks outside the box. www.gutcritters.com He cured his SIBO by taking pre and probiotics, and doing a week...

Is it about Arachidonic acid and Cb1 receptor and anandamide? ( HAIRLOSS, PFS, IMMUNE SYSTEM, PTSD)

Sounds like eating loads of eggs would increase it (although I guess then you get too much vit A/retinol), but overall it sounds like it’s pro inflammatory arachidonic acid | Health Topics | NutritionFacts.org

The patent hasn’t expired on Xifaxan (Rifaximin) yet, so it’s more expensive than it would be otherwise

Coffee (2 Grandes?) 600mg of caffeine daily?

Fellow coffee lover, but bear in mind it’s one of the most heavily sprayed crops, so I would go organic if you can, otherwise you’re getting a lot of pesticide in there.

Safe ways to increase cortisol levels (slow oxidizers)

I think with low cortisol you should avoid caffeine, so could try cutting out coffee or coke if you drink that Also I guess TEI should address this in theory, as it could be over stressed adrenals? Adrenal support supplements could make a big difference!

    Rebalancing Gut Flora

The case with anything unfortunately. What is clear from reading is SIBO is not cured by diet alone. It's a case of diet and herbal antibiotics, or proper antibiotics. I'm going to give Xifaxan a go - I've got some on order (won't be a full dosage, but enough to hopefully see if it has a...

    Rebalancing Gut Flora

Just reading this article on SIBO treatment with Xifaxan and neomycin - VERY interesting! The author reckons she cured her SIBO with these antibiotics, but they may have caused other issue themselves (specifically the neomycin) Interestingly she reckons neomycin impaired her bile flow. Xifaxan...

    Admiral’s PFS Log.. ARL/TEI since march 2018

Apparently Rifaximin (genetic name is Xifaxan) is basically not absorbed, so it’s much less damaging than broad spectrum antibiotics, and also very effective at not just combating sibo, but in other studies has been shown to improve healthy gut bacteria (probably because it kills the bad, so the...
