Hi all,

so many years ago I read about a german dietician named Arnold Ehret ("Muscusless Diet Healing System").
He is basically a fruitarian, promotes intermittent fasting, ... etc.
One of his basic principles is as follows IIRC:
Because of a wrong diet our body collects toxins and waste products and stores them in the form of muscus.
Muscus slows down your engine (metabolism).
If your body gets too weak (eg from getting a common cold) he tries to get rid of muscus to keep going.
Or if people who are not used to do sports go for a run, they usually also expel muscus (and spit it out) in my experience.

This simple model resonated with me back then. However I never wanted to go on a fruitarian diet. Even avoiding meat was and is very hard for me.
But he had some starter meals in his book for people who want to transition into a muscusless diet. I reduced calories of my diet and added this to my normal diet:
Shredded apple and carrot put together. I think one has to let is sit for a while IIRC.

Several days later I expelled a lot of muscus. It was about one mouth full per day approximately.

I stopped after about two or three weeks because I lost a lot of weight and I didn't see any improvement in my health issues.

However it had a strong effect on my mind. Somedays when going to sleep I lied in bed in ecstasy. My mind showed me pictures in such intensity which I never experienced before that.

I think I added other things also which he suggested like raw vegetables and I think milk products IIRC.

Years later I started to experiment with electrolytes in citrate forms like sodium citrate, potassium citrate, ...etc.
After a few days I experienced the same thing in terms of expelling muscus but not as strong.
I tracked it down to sodium citrate.

So I wonder if anyone has similar experiences or could explain why muscus gets excreted on those things. I'm not even sure it's a good thing.

Thanks for reading.
