Haha, I understand if it's not your cup of tea (my gf had to tag along to a few live shows before she started getting into it), but I think you're missing the point of this kind of music if all you hear is " just noises". The focus of math rock is complex rhythms and time signatures, and usually some technical guitar-driven melodies and harmonies. I guess it's more geared towards people who have either some music theory background or experience playing instruments. It's kind of like jazz, in that it can just sound like noise if you don't hear the theory behind it. For that reason, it's definitely not what most of the kids these days are listening to.
Also, keep in mind that was just the opening track, and even though it does have a melody, this song is more about harmony and rhythm, while other tracks on the EP have stronger melodies.
God, I hope I don't sound like some pretentious music snob lol. I'm really not trying to
I have background in listening and enjoying music, do i need background in music instruments to listen to this music, do i need a manual to listen to this music ? Come on )
If want to hear music get leftism album (leftfield) but get it on flac not some mp3 and listen it on good speakers not headphones or earbuds, then you will hear layers of music in each song, lots of patterns, but even them if you compare their old work with latest probably gonna wonder where the whole music go as its just not there any more.
