Disclaimer; I would like to pay @Helen and @mattyb for your opinions, just show me where

Hello Hackstasis: Long time Peat forum lurker, blown away by @Helen's and @mattyb's understanding of bio-chemistry, followed you guys to hackstasis. Looking for a bit of help.
Age: 24y male

History;

1994-2010
-Abandoned at birth. Raised by a she wolf north of the pines.

2010;
-Avid weight lifter, football, backpacking, MMA, etc. No history of drug/AAS use. [not for moral reasons]
Paleo-ish diet [meat, potatoes, vegetables]. Low stress, happy, horny teenager.

2011-2015;
-2011; Got MONO three separate times in 2010-2011. Each time missed months of school.

-2012; Started to experience symptoms; ZERO libido, fatigue, headaches, heart palpitations, dizzy, hair loss, low body temperature, poor circulation, debilitating brain fog, muscle/joint pain, muscle wasting, no energy, loss of endurance, couldn’t lift or sprint/hike anymore. [Alkalosis? Hypokalemia? Lyme?]

-2012; 144ng/dl Total testosterone, Doc ordered MRI to rule out brain tumor. Cost $3500, couldn’t afford. Prescibed TRT , experimented with Clomid, Tamoxifin, HCG, saw palmetto, Minoxidil, etc.

-2013: Stopped TRT with Clomid PCT restart. Began experimenting with new diets; meat only, vegetarian, back to paleo, vegan, fruitarian, etc.[gave each at least 6 month trial]

-2014; Began fasting; Daily IF, 10 day water fasts, 30 day water fasts, etc. [Felt awesome for a while post 30 day water fasts] No long term reversal of symptoms.

2015-2017;
-Found Ray Peat. Gave it a real good trial. Bought a herd of dairy goats, bee hives, grew potatoes. Seemed to make me feel better for a year or so.

-2016: Started to get even worse symptoms; Anxiety, hypoglycemia if I didn’t eat for a couple hours, worse heart palpitations, Hypersensitivity to substances; caffeine, aspirin, alcohol, NSAIDs, vitamin D3, K2, etc. [Fructose induced fatty liver? Acetaldehyde? Too much copper?][I have detailed records of my reactions with the above substances if that would help anyone]

-2017: Diagnosed with Lyme. Prescribed 200mg Minocycline ED for 28 days. Minocycline + TUDCA + Low carb made me feel pretty good. 50mg Mino on empty stomach in the morning+ 500-1000mg TUDCA later in the day.
-2017: Brain MRI came back unremarkable
-Nov 2017 – Feb 2018: Had a few Lactated Ringers Solution[LRS] infusions, that stuff makes me feel 100%.

-[Dec 13] Got an IV infusion of .45% NaCl, 20 Meq/L KCl, D5NS [sodium chloride, potassium chloride, dextrose] FELT BETTER THAN I HAVE IN THE LAST SIX YEARS. [Alkalosis? Chronic hypokalemia?]

-2018: Diagnosed with CFS, Positive for EBV, never got over the MONO from all those years ago
-9-11-2018: TEI test says I’m a fast 3

I’m working with my doctor to get a script for Lactated Ringers Solution. If not, I’ll get a cat with renal failure. That stuff cures me 100% for a few days, high dose Kcl comes nowhere close. I won’t fast again until I get my ocean water pool finished [spring/summer]

Theories for the cause of all this; Mono[EBV], Lyme, Saw palmetto, Minoxidil, Finasteride in one of the research chems?

Things I’m planning to try in the future: TEI[supps will be here at the end of the week], Ozone, LRS, Anavar, Helen’s visible light machine, Test + Prog, DHT+Prog. I’m going to do TEI for a while by itself then retest. I’ll make a great guinea pig, I can get just about any lab test [still working on getting ABG]

I would greatly appreciate any opinions or suggestions anyone has.
Lab results are below;

Interesting. Had Mono right around the time I started having libido problems (even before finasteride.) did you have mono pre or post fin?

Also look at Nitric oxide thread. Both of your tests showed low citrulline and low arginine so you probably have low endogenous NO, which could result in hair loss and low libido/ED.

I didn't take fin that I know of. I just said it could have been in a research chem I took. But from what I've found minoxidil/saw palmetto can mess people up pretty bad in the same way. I had mono before any of that. @Helen posted an article from TEI about EBV, I'll see if I can find it.

I've been following the NO thread. Think its worth doing at the same time as TEI?

@Helen would say to just do TEI and complete one round of supps 1-3 months. Then see how you feel once you are off. Then try something else.

That's the plan. Mattyb and Helen were having a great discussion in @Nina 's log about chronic active EBV. Worth checking out if you think mono played a role in your symptoms too.

@Grambo just take what tei recommends. They have thought of everything. The silica in the supps will help lower your aluminum. Tei recommends taking germanium to help lower arsenic but they don't have a germanium supp. So that is one thing you could add.

At least stick to it for 2 months and retest with a profile 3 hair test so they look at your first hair test when coming up with recommendations.

Since you are not pfs I would just stick to tei for now unless Helen has an opinion.

Thanks. Will do. Do you follow their dietary recommendations? They want me pounding the beef liver and milk again. Not so sure about trying that again.

I try to follow it the best I can. I am the opposite of you tei wants me to cut out milk and liver.

Luckily for me tei wants me to eat 40% protien, 40% carbs, and 20% fat so it's pretty easy to accomplish. Cutting out milk and liver was easy but cutting out sweets completely has been hard.

Big deal eating 40 40 20 of pro, fat, carbs instead of the way you have it at Goose?

Do you feel worse eating more fat than carbs.

What does 40 40 20 look like for you? types of food?

I usually try to eat a balance between carbs and protien. I add a little bit of fat to my meals in the form of tallow. It's easy to not worry about getting to much fat when you cut out dairy and overly processed foods.

A typical breakfast would be fruit and a protien shake most mornings, lunch is usually a hardy salad with meat, eggs, vegetables, and a low fat dressing. Dinner is usually a stir fry with half meat, half vegetables, and some tallow. I snack on fruit and salami. Every now and then I will have a tea, or a sweet. I have cut it down to once a day most days.

I have never sat down to figure exact percentages and I wouldn't consider myself a perfect example. I do have a cheat day here and there and I am at the point were my health doesnt seem effected by it.

I would love to get to the point of eating 100% unprocessed foods and not even thinking about it.

When I first crashed I could only eat fruit, cooked veges, and very small portions of protein once a day.

I eat the same ratio’s. I cook two entire pieces of vegetables each morning (broccoli, sprouts, cauliflower, kale, etc), mix and blend it with beet juice, add an avocado for fat and drink this during the day. For lunch and diner I eat brown rice with spinach or beans and chicken/steak/meat or shrimps. A proteinshake with almond milk before hitting the pillow.

For snacks I sometimes eat sugarless cookies or protein bars. But just rarely and not a whole lot. Also some blue corn tortilla chips, as Wilson promotes.

Tallow is hard to beat. Can you get it locally? I can't even get suet from local farms, grass fed cows around here are so lean, any fat they get they add to the ground beef. I was close to getting a 5gal bucket of tallow online in the past. Might have to look that back up.

Broccoli shakes? I don't know man. Do you not like the taste? Trying to mask it with something else in a shake? Fruit doesn't work for you?

I haven't found a local source. I have been buying it online. After a while you can definitely feel a difference in your health when you get away from vegetable oils. It's nothing dramatic but it's a little boost in clarity.

I try to limit sugars as much as possible, so that means no fruits either.
Beet juice has a bit of sugar in it is and its taste is strong. It's very doable, but taste doesn't bother me. I could give a rats ass about taste, I just want to get in healthy stuff as much as possible.

I agree, saturated and monounsaturated are the way to go. Any brand you recommend? I just got my TEI supps, overnighted them fedex. What free gift do I find in the package? Tallow! Well.., lemon-lime tallow deodorant. Didn't know there was such a thing.

I know what you mean. I've done spinach shakes before. Steamed broccoli tastes awesome though. How much do you have to get in a day? Too much to eat?

I've got this awesome blender I haven't used in a while. Debating if blending up vegetables would help.

Dude, this is pretty much my breakfast shake as well lol. Except I add egg white protein and MCT oil for more fuel.
