Reverse penile fibrosis and testicular shrinkage

Yea I see the same with PSSD and anxiety predisposition. We just don't get many of the depressed SSRI users on the forums at all.

Do you think 5mg daily is too much? I'm taking the one that you are supposed to take daily and not the "as needed" cialis. Yea I'd love to see that study if you can find it.

I've used Ativan in the past as needed for anxiety. Never really wanted to use it for more than a day or 2 at a time because I don't want to get addicted, but it does seem to increase sexuality a bit for me.

I sweat a lot now, and not even when I'm anxious.

I bought a bath mate

Probably will do an r-andro cycle soon too. Fast will also be on the table soon.

I’m a 21 y/o PSSD-er. So much sympathy for this thread. ****… This is hard stuff, guys. I feel for all of you.

Recently I went to Dr. Goldstein in San Diego and learned that I too have penile scarring/fibrosis. It was a surreal find for me, and a mix of happy and sad. Happy because my struggles were justified, but sad because there isn’t a ton of medical knowledge on how this happened, or how to reverse it. I’ve bounced around with the 5-HT hypothesis for years (3.5 years of PSSD for me), and this changed some things. I know now that there is a physical aspect to my ED as well.

Dr. Goldstein put me on 5mg of Cialis daily, which is why I’d like to ask @joekool why you think that this dose might be too much / cause damage? My hope is that it will increase the blood flow that you all have talked about above. Joe, your post resonated with me a lot.

“I had cold & hard flaccid, an hourglass shape to my flaccid & shortened. When getting an erection, that hourglass was there briefly but went away with full erection. Everything felt like it was 'retracted’”

I also have a sort of performance anxiety that has come from PSSD. Never had it before, but Cortisol / Adrenaline kicks in sometimes before sex, and that’s just lights out (which makes total sense biologically). I don’t know if this is a chemical problem or what. My heart will go into hyperdrive, and I don’t remember that before PSSD. It just pounds and pounds when I’m anxious now. This compounds the physical problem of PSSD, and **** does it kill the mood. I’ve heard that DHT can help with mood and confidence, and that might be another reason that I want to try it eventually.

I NEED to fast. I know this, it’s just hard to find a time. But, that’s a bad excuse and I know it. I am a student and work at a hospital a lot, so there really isn’t a time where I can afford to worry about feeling lightheaded or too sick from not eating for a week. My hormones LOOK normal, but I know they’re not.

As for the nerve (and jeez you’re posting everything that I’ve been thinking recently so this makes me so so happy) - I have seen damage from DHT lack and blood flow lack. People with a problem in that nerve have many similar problems as us. Another thing I want to emphasize is the pelvic floor. Pelvic floor tension is 100% a problem of mine. Dr. Goldstein told me that too. You gotta learn to relax the floor. There are people with many of our same problems just from having a tense floor. It cuts off blood. That will tank confidence. That will compound the problem. Soon, you loose blood flow, which can cause the fibrosis we see, and it’s a vicious cycle. I urge everyone here to work on the pelvic floor muscles.

I started working on the pelvic floor last weekend. Then I started 5mg daily Cialis monday. Monday night I had the best erection in months, and tuesday I had a killer day. Parts of my **** were throbbing with life and everything felt so much like pre-PSSD. Yesterday morning / afternoon was maybe my best day since PSSD. I was horny with boners that came faster, were harder, and stayed longer. I seriously thought that I was on the verge of putting PSSD behind me for good. I went to see my gf last night and everything fell apart. At first I wanted to just sleep with her, but was with her housemates. Throughout the night my drive died and I started to get anxious about that. The cortisol started flowing and that was lights out. My boners were weak and numb - just like at the heart of PSSD. I told her I was feeling sick and wanted to go to bed when she was trying to take my clothes off and have sex. Woke up this morning with number **** and a weak ass morning wood. FML.

But I’m starting to realize that hiding my head in a Serotonin book all day isn’t getting me the answers. The answers come from connecting the body to the penis and letting the rest fall in place. Something that I was doing early this week was hitting all the right buttons. When you’re gaining back your confidence, loosing erections isn’t even a thought in your mind. You’re calm and confidence. Talking to my gf early last night when I was horny, I felt like a new me. I me that I haven’t seen in years.

I think I’m going to get a pump. I’ll amazon prime it here so I get it fast.

I’m gonna keep doing pelvic exercises, which I can share with anyone who would like. Just PM me.

Another thing I’ve thought about is getting a red light. CD used to talk about “sunning the boys” or something like that. You get NO and T moving with red light down there, and it would increase blood flow as well. I’m not sure of it yet, but something that I’m thinking of buying and trying.

This fibrosis CAN go away. I’ve seen Dr. Goldstein’s scans of it reverses for both PFS and PSSD patients. He uses PRP in the penis to attempt to speed this up, but it might be a mixture of pelvic floor changes and viagra/cialis that get blood flowing down there as well.

Dr. G also tends to see PFS and PSSD occur in people who hit an especially stressful time. It's like the cortisol or stress or something all comes together to make a perfect storm.

Anyways, you guys gave me some hope on a terrible day.

Cheers,

Ghost

That's a lot of good info!
But are you sure the Doctor said that fibrosis can be "reversed". That would be the first doctor that says that a penile scarring is reversible. I talked with a lot of urologists and every time they said "when it starts scaring it's too late".

Btw my testicles are shrinken sooo much in these days it's incredible. I've experienced more than 1 year of real bad PFS, but i never saw my testicles shrink. That started like 3-4 months ago.

Nice posts @joekool and @Ghost.
I definitely had PSSD due to taking those meds for Anxiety disorder. I had hyperhidrosis (still do, but it was way worse and daily in summer) for a few years. I could sweat from my face in the dead of Canadian winters (minus 40 back then -- most you Americans have no idea haha) and have to take off my coat on the bust. Still can in the summer's but in Toronto it's hot and humid and I was on stims or even just stressed. Whereas on Effexor - it was day or night, drenched in sweat. Even in lectures. Horrible.

@Ghost your main problem is ED?

Yea I think so. Usually when I get erections, I have libido. On the flip side, when I have libido, I usually get erections.

I don't know why the first 48 hours of Cialis were so great and now I've crashed. When I was getting the erections, I was really horny.

Yes, Dr. Goldstein showed me scans of it. He has used PRP to reverse scarring on patients of PFS and PSSD. Takes about a year and multiple injections. Ideally you'd be increasing blood flow like with pumping/cialis/injections etc. That combo has reversed in some patients.

I got morning wood back after messing with inositol. But I dont have the "horny feeling".

Hey @Ghost I can't find the freaking link regarding PDE5 inhibitors and this enzyme found at high levels... I promise I'll keep looking, I have dozen+ groups of favorites saved totaling over 100+ bookmarks saved from researching over the course of the year+ with PFS... I'm upset I can't find it but... I won't contradict your doctor, of course, and I don't believe 5mg is too high... it's part of the 'low dose' protocol... again, though, finding a dosage for our purpose is different... in my opinion, it's for blood flow, not go time... so the 'every other day' route gives things time to leave the body and prevent any detrimental build up (something I just experienced with T3)... I have zero evidence of any such build up for Cialis, it's just a protocol rule I follow... not preaching... but I think about longer cycles at lower dosages for enhanced chances of repair... perhaps 5mg daily is the trick so let me know...

But either way, please keep us posted and definitely stick around here... I look forward to your progress and experiences with it. I have some new plans for the 2018 that I'm mapping out now too.

:) I'll say... and I think I know someone who'll agree, R-Andro is a great addition to start feeling the DHT again... definitely complements the Cialis...

Let's see... @IHateFin Would you agree R-Andro is the cat's meow ?

ghost, great post you have cheered me up a lot. Great to know that there is recovery from penile damage possible. What are your ed symtoms like? For me, I can get an erection ok most of the time but it dissappears quickly like 30secs. Very depressing. Was recently prescribed shockwave therapy to address this and will report back with results

You'll be happy to hear that shockwave is another thing he has seen help the damage. The problem for me is that I'm far away and in order to do shock-wave it apparently has to be done many times, and I can't fly to San Diego every week.

Mine are less severe maybe, but after being aroused for 15+ minutes, I start to lose my erection hardness and things become number. I have secondary performance anxiety that I've picked up from this, and that doesn't help libido or erections either. But if I'm comfortable, I'm usually good enough to go but with soft glans.

Goldstein would say that your problem is from blood leaking out, and that's a result of the scarring. It leaks because the erection tissue is damaged from cell death caused by either the drugs, or lack of blood flow after the drugs. I think ROS might also be leading to the problem. High serotonin can cause these to increase.

@IHateFin I'll be #dabbing on that r-andro protocol starting tonight. Will post updates.

ROS is probably the cause. I refuse to believe in drug damage, I used these craps for more than 12 years, and last month I was having hard rock erections after some time without even having morning wood.

The inhibitory effects of escitalopram on erectile and vascular function were not accompanied by a change in endothelial nitric oxide synthase, neuronal nitric oxide synthase, inducible nitric oxide synthase expression, or endothelial nitric oxide synthase activity, suggesting that the inhibitory effect is caused by a decrease in nitric oxide bioavailability mediated by increased NADPH oxidase and reactive oxygen species production.

Btw, how is the procedure to see if there is any scarring? A normal scan with an induced boner?

Yea, it's just a normal ultrasound I think. They give you a shot into the penis and then walk away for 5 minutes while you watch porn.

The scarring might not be the primary problem, but the fact that it's something that a urologist will point to as causing bad erections and the fact that Goldstein can fix it makes it something worth the PRP for me. Trust me, the injections are not fun at all, but it isn't that bad once you get over the fact of what you're doing. The worst part is injecting the meds that knock your induced boner back down. Imagine pushing a needle into a rock vs into a pillow. Really not fun at all and they made me do it myself lol.

Thanks again Ghost. my only pfs symtoms are sexual. Im also on the 5mg daily cialis which also helps a lot. The frustrating thing for me is that my symtoms seem to come in cycles. Sometimes i can go for weeks where the cialis works perfectly, then suddenly i can crash and i have rubber dick again, and basically impotent. This tells me it is definitely hormone related

Curious to know if a) goldstein has had cases where ppl have recovered from symtoms such as mine and b) did he offer any other recommendations on treatment/diet/exercises etc

would also be curious to know if any other pfs sufferers had symtoms like mine

Had second sessions of shockwave yest and think it has made me worse if anything

thanks a lot

Yep. I feel that. Like last tuesday I was great, and then I've crashed and only started to recover. Stress kills everything for me, even down to feeling. Ginkgo helped with that. I came off Ginkgo last sunday after 3 months to see where I was. Maybe part of my good start to the week was an afterglow of the ginkgo (my brand breaks down slowly over 24 hours). That might also have been keeping anxiety at bay. So I'll add it in again probably. I was scared about all the blood pressure supps and drugs at once.

Dr. G didn't give any of those things, but I got some stuff from the physical therapist. So PM me if interested.

I was reading this forum @gbolduev linked to and the beginning of the thread was about getting increased penis size using Histadine and folic acid and had great results. For instant results he tried rubbing stinging nettle on his penis, to see what histamine applied directly would do. He swore his dick was so hard it hurt, had numerous orgasm, and gained half an inch is size.

Didnt know if this would be something to look into to reverse scarring. Here is the link.

L-Histidine and folic acid. Possible key to unlocking massive growth.

Do you find that after every cycle you return to a slightly higher baseline with PFS? Are you overall close to being cured or still far away?

Do penis girth exercises, I suggest the Squeeze. It helped me get back what I lost from finasteride, and I'm shooting for more.
