Interesting Stuff for Psychiatry/Psychology Majors:
Not a fun thing to discuss, and I'd rather not. But something enormously important.
Good stuff,to remind me in case it ever comes to that.
The doc I saw who is a renowned expert on mood disorders was definitely on to thing but so were my main 2 practicners that didn't believe I had BPII but needed to defer to differential diagnosis. I'm feeling pretty decent now, minus the bloated feeling and stomach/digestion issues again and again. I took aminos, spinach protein, more potassium today, and not so much magnesium, not that much Pink Sea Salt, and a bit (1 pill betaine HCL) I far more am excited about Ru486 than electrolytes/ARL (but that's just me).
I keep saying I won't take electrolytes but I was feeling good and tried all the above. I'll have to hide that stuff till I post up my ARL results, so I don't take them.
I know this guy, he's brilliant. I think he would have told me no finasteride possibly... I'll talk to him again in the future (I alluded to him at times).
Dr. R. McIntyre. We all have different "deal-breakers" and hair loss was for me.
He would have definitely not have put me on antidepressants way back then. Truth be told, I hid the complete truth at times from my main 2 docs, bc of fear of other dx, incl. bp... but you need to do what you need to. Just keeping track of stuff for the future. THE SECOND GUY I mean.
Definitely remembering hypomania and depression that didn't register. And impulsivity, and all that structure stuff. This doesn't register as a kid or even in much of the 20's... for me at least. Spot on about misdiagnosis... but I think he sees a lot of inpatient people and doesn't realize all the dealbreaker side effects. No hairloss, actually life would probably be pretty much great treating both... and without other damage from Fin... minus all the damage from before (not great), but could have been better going forward... still can. And obviously hair-loss is nothing compared to serious shyt like this. Also keep in mind an ADHD expert will see the ADHD (especially if you don't mention the other stuff) and vice versa for a BP expert. Although he did dx it even though I was pretty evasive, he was damn smart.
100% I had mania on Effexor, and 100% other times on alcohol and also stimulants. But more controlled on some stimulants (usually). And also 100% hypomania with no real meds or substances. And also depression. Worst ever Mania would be on Effexor XR and after. Worst ever depression was After Effexor and After Fin.
Opiod and cabbanionoids and Dopamine, Anhedonia, Metabolic stuff.
He had other great info and others did too about BPII...
Anyways ADHD affects 4 major things in the brain and BPII those and another 2.
