Ok so I had a pretty comfy baseline. No severe food reactions. Mostly clear head. Some libido every couple of days. Shit physical condition but enough to do light exercise. Im no longer an athlete and im fine with it. Karate mostly gave me knee issues anyway. But I digress.
I did GI-MAP which showed fuck up commensal bacteria and high level of staphylococcus aureus. "Splendid" I thought to myself, "it looks terrible and im doing fine, so fixing this will fully recover me". I found myself some functional medicine doctor because i knew fuck all about microbiome at the time and i remember Chi mentioning that working with a dietitian is a good idea.... So... Motherfucker diagnosed me with sulfide sibo and put me on Rifaximin, oregano, some prebiotics and de simone probiotic, which at the time i had no issues with because i planned on trialing rifaximin anyway...
Well... It went weird. First few days, nothing, maybe more burping, day 5th (6th?) I got horny, not crazily horny but enough to be genuinely interested in having sex. Up until that point only high dose hormones did that for me... So that was promising. Next day i had the strongest and most majestic erection since the initial crash. Truly a sight to behold. Nature's wonder)))). Unfortunately world is cruel and uncaring. The same day lymph nodes in the back of head became painful and enlarged. Next day it got worse and red itchy lesions appeared on my neck, upper chest and back there were also mild chills, severe fatigue, muscle pain, but whatever. When I complained to my doc she shat her pants as that never happened in her practice. Well fuck.

I stopped meds and I wait for the hell to stabilize. I feel like shit, head is fogged, dick went back into the grave, bowel movements certainly took a hit, my tongue burns. I also have sore throat which i recognise as a symptom of accute infection and I hope it resolves in a few days on its own and I'll bounce back a little.
Weirdly enough, dandruff i had for like 10 months is just gone.

What happened i think is that rifa passed through my intestinal barrier in excess due to leaky gut and went systemic which caused an allergic reaction. Which actually might have been a blessing in disguise as taking it for prescribed 14 days could have been more disastrous for me

... At least seeing as it briefly helped and then fucked me up i can safely guess now that my illness indeed was driven by microbiome this entire time. I'm still a sibo denialist though
