Long time sufferer, first time caller. Just getting some thoughts out, I guess. Advice/feedback always welcome.

A lil about me:
- PFS since early 2019
- haven't made any serious recovery attempts yet
- symptoms are purely sexual (ED and hard-flaccid; low libido too, I guess)

What I'm doing rn:
- TMO diet
-- IM fasting. Try to get all my eating done from 3pm-8pm
- exercise, not the plan on TMO but my own plan for now
- not doing TMO supps for now. Only supp I take is melatonin for sleep (1-2 mg/night)
- not doing coldwater for now, either. daily schedule is messed up and I don't think I'll be able to hit the shower at a time that isn't too close to my bed time

What I wanna try soon-ish:
- Levothyroxine? My tsh was at like 5.9 in mid-late 2019 so I was prescribed levothyroxine. During a blood test in summer 2022, my tsh was at 3 even though I hadn't taken levothyroxine in many months, so I'm not sure if I need it. Might be nice to get just to effortlessly shed some pounds (I've been drinking too much lately and have gained a lot of weight). Haven't had a blood panel since early-mid 2023 so I'm overdue. Kinda afraid to get checked tbh, especially my androgens.
- Pelvic floor exercises. Need to read up on hard-flaccid and what specific muscle or whatever is out of whack and how to treat it. Would like to see a PT about it but idk if anyone around where I live even knows what hard-flaccid is.
- hCG and/or DHT gel. Think I need to lose weight before trying hCG so it doesn't aromatize or whatever. Tempted to try with DHT gel because I'm a little desperate to get out this shit ASAP but I don't want to potentially mess myself up worse especially if solo hCG would end up being enough. Alternatively, might just try the TMO prohormones. I also have some tongkat ali lying around, so I might use that as a sort of PCT.

What I might wanna try in the future:
- TEI protocol?
- Some Peyronie's treatment stuff (supplements that supposedly reverse fibrosis, extension device)
- Shockwave therapy for ED
- Psilocybin
- Penis enlargement exercises?

Ok, that's all for now.

Bro it is systemic. You need to fix your whole biochemistry vitamins, minerals, enzymes. Not just focus on some porn start protocol... That is myopic..

Hello again, I'm gonna try to be more active from now on. I'm sorry to say that not much has changed in my absence, but I'm serious about being healthy now. I've been drinking too much and I've finally gotten genuinely fed up with the hangovers and weight gain. I'm transitioning back to the TMO diet and plan to be back in the gym on March 1st. Might look into the supps too.

I've also developed an interest in something called the Angion Method. It's a penis enlargement method, idk all the details yet, but it seems to focus on vascular health so it should heal physiological damage to the penis. I saw some people on the biohacker subreddit swear it's legit in a comment section of a post about PSSD.

@Yung_Geezer yes for example.. Optimizing diet, life style and doing nutritional balancing program for at least couple of years before I would mess with taking hormones. Once you start messing with hormones not knowing what you are doing basically you can push the body even more out of balance and it will be even more hard to get back to balance.
You have to realize that if you are not one out of many who really understands the chemistry, who has endless money for testing etc.. You should let the body try balance itself. giving the body at least chance. Most people never give the body chance. They are arrogant and think their xx something years old brain knows more from the internet than the whole human evolution...

Okay, that makes sense and that's what I'm gonna do. As I've mentioned, I've gained weight and I don't wanna even consider hormonal interventions until I burn it off

Quick update: been sober for 1 month + 16 days, and am determined to make it at least a full 90 days. I don't really feel any better though. I think I've maybe lost a few pounds (182→177 lbs) over the first month, but nothing too drastic. Maybe that's for the best (don't wanna deal w/ loose skin), but I still wanna re-establish care w/ a doc and get back on levothyroxine.
Also, in ~March I was taking a lot of things and it seems like at least one of them might've worsened me. I was taking clonidine for sobriety/sleep, magnesium, melatonin, and 5000 IU of vit D. I was waking up w/ no wood whatsoever and also had pitiful ejaculatory force, I think it was the vit D. I discontinued everything but the melatonin and was patiently waiting to go back to normal but never really did until I reinstated magnesium on either the 22nd or 23rd of June. Definitely not back to pre-PFS by any means but I'm surprised how much I seemed to have improved overnight. The improvements also seem to be agnostic of how much magnesium I had during the day (I use an app to track my calories, macros, and micronutrients).
Anyway, that's it for now, will be back later to read my notifications.

Fell off the wagon right after that post and am trying to get back on. I am thinking about taking the following 3 meds/supps:
- Lamictal/Lamotrigine (for depression)
- methylated Folate vitamin (I have one-allele MTHFR)
- Acamprosate (for alcohol)

Am soliciting any user experience with these meds. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

you better do some lab tests and post them. without blood test treating pfs is ridiculous. also htma test is important.
btw methylated folate is worse than normal folic acid plus b complex

I really need an elaboration on this.
also htma test is important.
This might be a dumb question, but how do I do a HTMA test if I keep my scalp shaved now? Can I use facial or eyebrow hair? Or am I gonna have to just grow out a small patch of scalp hair?

Well, these were things suggested to me by my psychiatrist, and all have nothing to do with PFS (other than that it kinda drove me to drink too much in the first place). fwiw, I got a GeneSight test done and I should be able to take Lamictal as directed. But yeah, I'm overdue for a fresh blood test, I haven't gotten one in 3 years. I'm scared of what (hypogonadism specifically) it might show, especially with my recent drinking habits and weight gain. I want to wait until I get my diet and exercise under control because that'll feel like my 'real baseline' but I'm sure that's cope and I should just bite the bullet, huh?

while it is risky / kinda crazy. i barely have any bloods, ... and did for PSSD.
i dont for PFS, outside of six y ago, and maybe if u count recent bloods (not sure how to access em, on provincial healthcare, may just ask my doc to send em to me).

And i don't for hEDS mostly.

if you're intune with how you react to everything, and know you're a hypermetabolizer (like i am, bc of hEDS for many many drugs/substances , prolly supps).
hyper responder at least. You can go far, even in absence of adequate bloodwork.

I mean most bloodwork wasn't that helpful for me. But, yeah I'll get it, for the HRT (for hEDS) and heart monitoring perhaps if i need that, ideally i don't.

I agree Yung Geezer should get bloods, but to say no one can do anything w.o. bloodwork, is false.
Ideally yes, we all use it.
I'm getting it more consistently. My doc was 40km away, I could not get rides, and mostly did phone aptmts.
More time soon, and closer to clinics soon, so I'll get em more regularly. Or just get some appointments in house perhaps for now. and later at aptmt (note to self).

I cannot remember @yung-geezer but perhaps, Armpit hair is fine. "Stop sending pubes", Helen said 7yrs ago to the forum en masse.

actually i will get some other tests, too... neurotransmitters to see ... which im low in, dopamine, NE, and PDA or DPA (low in 42%, 88%, and 92% for 12700 ADHDers in a recent test. There's this youtube doc w/ ADHD that is working on that). I agree just dopamine agonists aren't for ev1 and definitely they can cause major problems.

I likely get NE anyways from lifting, cold showers, and like trading, and IDK your life is stress w/ ADHD anyways (often). and some things like Rad140 and anavar, may up that. This isn't general advice. Just noting it, also YG, I think had thoughts he may have ADHD. Tho he's not hyper... like me.

Lamictal was great... but yeah i mean i was misdxd BPII ... probably.
And it raped my hair worse than TE + Adderall/vyvanse did. Dex, Test, etc (rad140 especially increased shedding more than anything last 5-7++ yrs).

And I mean it is a great med perhaps, but I get adverse rxns and couldn't risk SJS/TENS.

Soon im off... and ya im getting blood work more often ev 3mo or so. you may as well.. if insurance covers it or something, in the USA?
Or if it is affordable - ish (I know it probably won't be). Surely basic bloodwork is covered, and an ND or MD can order it for you, no? @yung-geezer.

I may get in home bloodwork aptmts soon. yeah actually heart pain a while ago, so ya i need that.

I generally agree tho with Rupert... no use in shooting blind forever.
Just i mean a lot of stomach tests bloods etc didn't help me when i didn't even know abt PSSD really. at 21.
And Lots of self treatment helped me there, and with hEDS back then. Hardcore diet and exercise, like too much.

Similar to yrs later, and more yrs later now at times. But i get gains/lose fat, get more cuts even 4-8 lifting days a mo, with ketovore ish diet. and fasting.
which is good bc im injured ankles, to wrists, to neck to feet, to elbows, to whatever half the time. most the time, idk. if lifting hard. changing my lifting model.
