@Canari I meant trigger to start investigating health issues, same with things like acne & people going onto diets for that.

@hairloser I dont think I can be convinved that athleticism is a sign of being very healthy, the life expectancy of athletes is significantly less than the average human & player (like in soccer) have dropped dead in the middle of matches due to cardiac problems. Furthermore I suspect good athletes would have very high Test/DHT for its benefits in strength, muscle gain etc... Coconut oil is a 5AR inhibitor (I think because of the lauric acid) & the boost provided to the thyroid helps to keep hormonal levels in check. I'm really not sure what to do at this stage, I have lost 80% of my hair. The only alternatives I see is getting a hair transplant or waiting out a few more years for some sort of miracle cure. Until then just trying to fix up all my health issues outlined above. Making decent progress so far with digestion.

pro athletes and athletes in general are definately not the epitome of "healty".
They might do a lot of right things in terms of healthy food and behavior (alcohol smoking etc) though.

There are a lot of things that are bad doing sport excessively. Just look at histamine levels in endurance runners.
And you can do things wrong like keeping mineral intake low for example and when you are a pro athlete doing multiple trainings a day, sweating a lot, loosing minerals etc.

I think especially people doing sports excessively can go from healty to unhealty quicker than "normal" people.

Hi @TubZy .

Would be good to hear your opinion given your experience, what would be the best protocol to follow for hair loss without the use of minoxidil or finasteride. Also, for someone who has lost most of their hair, would you recommend they fork out & go down the transplant route or wait it out a few years in case some 'miracle' cure comes out?

Providing an update: I replaced iodine with thyroid glandular (Natural Sources brand), am taking 4 capsules of butyrate daily & have switched to Garden of Life probiotics. These changes have significantly improved my health - less bloating, better digestion (almost back to normal infact), more energy, require less sleep, dark spots under eyes going away. I've found that since my digestion has improved, I have been eating worse food as a result & struggling to make serious improvements at times. Now that I have energy & am regaining my strength, my main focus is the hair loss so I've started doing rigorous massages every night & rinsing my hair with ACV.
