Research Log

Every day I usually do a bit of reading. I'll skim through a bunch of studies looking for something, reading maybe a few of them in detail. I like to research a wide variety of topics, but my main area of interest centers around autoimmune disorders. But like I said, I still like to look up a bunch of stuff.

I decided to create this log, so that every day I can create a running log of what I've been going over. I find I often have to re-search for articles I've read before. So this will serve partially as a repository of bookmarks, and also a repository of studies for other people to reference if they are so inclined. I also include the results of my searches (I almost exclusively use google scholar), so people can see what kind of search terms and search strategies I am using.

Here is today's batch, mostly centered around multiple sclerosis and it's relationships to geomagnetic disturbances, heritability, and mitochondrial fission.

Variety of links today. Some are around presence of carboxylic acid in the pancreas as an acidifying factor that worsens pancreas function. Other links are around the mitochondrial response to bacterial and viral infections like mitochondrial fission.

I think it would be nice if you added study's topic/title next to it's link.

Yes, that would be ideal but it would take a lot of extra time. I just dump the links from my bookmark manager and this is how they show up. I will try and find a way to quickly add in the titles.

There is a way where it can be done automatically I believe.

@tfcjesse you aware of any methods to change the links to the title study format when posted here?

Do you mean linking something like this?

I'm not aware of anything that automatically grabs the link's title and formats it nicely.

Ahh damn okay. RP forum had it, was especially good when you posted studies, instead of posting the actual URL it would post the title of the thread or study and do it automatically.

I don't think it is available for PHPBB then

Any studies on skin scaring? I'm thinking about starting dermarolling but a little afraid of causing additional problems. Would love to read something. Haven't found anything interesting myself
