Just finished my first month of ARL. Had some good days and some very bad days. On the good days at the start I had a lot of energy and mood was great.

If I had to sum it up so far I'd say:

- fatigue slightly improved sometimes
- libido lower than baseline
- sensitivity worse than baseline
- EQ worse than baseline
- digestion far worse than baseline (wasn't a noticable problem before ARL)

Maybe I'm just going through a bad week or something I dunno.

I ordered a hydrogen machine which should arrive sometime in june. I'll continue ARL and get another test done. And add in hydrogen water once the machine arrives.

I'm also going to try adding in bile acids, malic acid, liver flushes, aminos, hcl etc. Basically move more to electrolyte protocol instead of only ARL

Have you tried dropping all supplements for a week to see what happens? I have no experience in this form of stuff, but I've noticed from reading that a few guys have felt better off ARL after the initial run. Just a thought.

Either way, hang in there bud. Better days are ahead.

I'm taking a few days off now while I wait for my new batch of supplements to arrive, we'll see what happens. I'm okay with feeling like absolute shit for some time if it paves the way for improvements later :)

Been off ARL for about a week now, still not feeling much different from my last post. Digestion seems to be the worst it's ever been, like I'm barely digesting food at all anymore. So weird. I got some bile acids so I hope that will help, maybe in combination with HCl and digestive enzymes. I also got my next round of ARL supps, which I'll be starting tomorrow. I'm also getting a new hairtest done to see where I'm at, but that might take a while (around 3 weeks last time).

Also, my hydrogen machine arrived! I'm excited to add hydrogen water to my regimen. Just had my first glass, so not noticing anything yet obviously except a slight stomach ache.

I've been having really bad digestion on ARL too lately. Like whatever I eat just sits like a rock in my stomach, and I'll get stomach aches from things I used to not have a problem with. Hopefully just some metabolic shift taking place that the digestive system hasn't caught up to yet.

I'm taking bile salts, HCl, and enzymes, and they only seem to help a bit. Mainly the enzymes.

Yeah I wonder what's causing it. If anything I'd expect digestion to get better since that seems to be a part of ARLs program, or at least something they touch on in the analysis..

Wow hydrogen is reallly strong. I'm sticking to one glass a day for now but I'm completely unable to sleep. Everytime I almost fall asleep it's like I get an electric shock jolting me awake. @Shadow sound familiar?

I'm waiting for my sleep to normalize before starting ARL again.

Damn! Where's the electrical sensation? Near your stomach?

This sounds like acidosis. Body refuses to stop adrenaline and relax, thus cant sleep. many people with PSSD are stuck in parasympathetic state.

Hopefully hydrogen can force the body to get rid of that high acetylcholine and restructure.

If not, and if it gets very bad, you could use sodium bicarb neutralized by hot water and restore acidity. Just keep in mind you have this option always/

Yeah. Kinda like the feeling you get when you miss the last step when going down the stairs or something

Some questions:
- Do you feel this sensation only when falling asleep or throughout day too?
- Your breathing is normal?
- Do you feel pins and needles through your body, or felt before this happening?
- How is you brain fog, anhedonia?

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I gave some hydrogen water to my parents as well and they really like it, increased energy and mental clarity. Guess they were in a healthier state to begin with. My dad wants a machine now too haha.

- I sometimes feel it throughout the day as well, but it's more like a constant thing in the background, like when you had too much coffee. Definitely not always though

- Breathing drive seems low sometimes. On my first week of ARL I noticed I could breathe much more deeply and had more energy. That went away after the first week though.

- I feel pins and needles in my arms quite often. Sometimes throughout the day, almost always when laying in bed trying to fall asleep. Just in my arms though, not really anywhere else

- Brain fog is ok-ish. Currently not feeling too great since I'm running on a pretty big sleep deficit atm but that's not a weird thing. Anhedonia is still there, but I feel like I've gotten used to it kinda. It's definitely improved from when I was at my worst though.

You see as I saw on the hairtest, many PSSD people are stuck in some kind of resp acidosis, parasympathetic state.

This basically does not let you sleep. Since body cant relax, it breathes and breathes and breathes, And when you fall asleep usually breathing drive goes down even more and you get this knock, huge adrenaline spike to knock you out of the sleep and breathe.

This sensation can always be taken away with zinc and b vitamins. But we want to get rid of it not just patch it.

I think may be zinc histidine b vitamins can help this. OR forcing the body to restructure, LIke they do with acetazalomide, when they give it , it force the body to restructure, or may be hydrogen also, it will force the body to restructure

Couldn't have described it better myself. Huge adrenaline spike.

I'll try riding it out for a while, see if my body eventually adapts to the hydrogen. If not, I'll give the other things a shot. I have acetazolamide on hand as well.

try to ride out hydrogen, if not contact me and I will try to fix you how I see it. If it works we will make a protocol.

I think PSSD might have too much Co2. and high acetylcholine, this acetylcholine kills breathing drive, you dont breathe. This causes very low oxygen . this is why breathing ozone might make you feel 10 times better.

Acetylcholine is broken down by acetycholinesterase which consists of tryptophan , histidine serine and tyrosine. Histidine is part of CA enzyme which gets rid of CO2. And if Histidine is not there, CO2 and acetylcholine can be really high.

Aslo histidine zinc thiamine make stomach acid. And if acetylcholine is high, thiamine is directed into the urine, since body does not want to make acetylcholine.

And boom since thiamine is low, body does not make NADPH. And without NADPH there is no steroids.

Same thing! What I have noticed was:
- The two times that this happened was like that, I started to sleeping less and less until not being able to sleep at all.
- Pins and needles and other weird nerve and muscles sensations specially while trying to sleep.
- First time was very severe, quite maddening to be honest. My baseline dropped(ed, sensitivity, constant stomach feeling, depression).
- Second time was only 36h awake. Pins and needles and others symptoms were almost nonexistent.
- After this second time, my paresthesias feels less severe, I can say that Im back to my baseline I think. But with a HUGE window(I dont know if this will last) of better anhedonia.

What a weird thing, even my tinnitus felt less intrusive a day or two after this.

Oh and one more thing, @Helen talked about histidine.

Well while Im in this no sleep state, my hives DISAPPEAR!
That second time, before and after entering this state, I had(was having at this time) a bad hayfever.

Weird crap

Awesome :)

I'm like 99% sure I have basically no stomach acid. I can take stupid amounts of betaine HCl without getting any burning and if I get a little bit of reflux sometimes it's not acidic at all. So I'm pretty sure you're also right about that.

What about riboflavin in this case? To lower acetylcholine and help oxygen?
