How did we evolve? Was it adaptation to enhance the species or involuntary changes due to several factors, diet being one of the primary forces.

Diet seems to be a primary mover in genetic expression and human development. It is likely that the evolution of the diversity of the human species was primarily driven by the mostly plant based diet of our ancestors.

One reason for plant consumption contributing to the diverse attributes of the human gene pool is because of the diversity of chemistry found in many plants globally....

Great post. It is known that your microbiom changes re what you eat. But you need to do it for longer periods in order to change your microbiom. The crazy thing is your gut is your first brain and communicates via the cns with the brain. In the gut there are neurons AS well if I remember well, even more than in the brain.
Your immun system is in the gut. So what does it mean for the body if you have inflammation there due to toxins, pathogens etc.? Does this go up even to the brain? If I remember well studies have been showing that a lot of diseases of our brain have their root in the gut. Even breast cancer. Thats why I believe that unless you dont check comprehensively your stool, you wont change chemistry in the brain. Parasites - we all have them - must get out. Best

Again I think we primarily ate meat from big animals. Saturated animal fat and cholesterol.

If we could survive on a plant-based diet then vegans would be healthy today:

But hey, they all look malnourished. A lot of them also have mental issues (depression, anxiety). Just like a lot of people today. Most people today eat plant-based diet with a little bit of meat.

We also cannot digest cellulose which is in plants.

Herbivores/omnivores can convert plants into fatty acids. We cannot. So we do not get any fatty acids out of plants.

The only thing plants can be used for is energy: conversion to glucose for energy. Probably to get the next kill.

I think most disease today is because of plant-based diets.

The problem is what is in our meat and in our plants nowadays?
If you do big research you will get it.

Most cows eat grass all year and are fattened with grains at the end of the cycle. There is no big difference between grass fed and grain fed. Yes you get a bit more PUFA with grain finished cows but it is not a lot.

You can eat plants if you want. But saturated fat and cholesterol are essential for mental health and being healthy in general. That's my opinion. Plants can provide energy but not more then that. It is not nutrient dense food since it contains a lot of vitamin/mineral blocking compounds.

You havent done big research, have you?
I agree with you re Cholesterol and saturited fats etc. Re plants: You need good oil to absorb elements oft plants. Plants must be juiced in a blender. Plants dont have carbos. But a lot of other stuff also to prevent diseases. You must do research for several months or even years.
Beside all that: you need to know what plants and meat is contaminated these days. Best

I don't think time equals understanding.

Contaminated with what? Hormones? The actual trace amount of hormones are a bit higher than normal. I think there is a lot of fear mongering caused by vegan propaganda. There are bad farms out there that treat their animals like shit. But a lot of farmers care for their animals.

Anyways in the end I would rather eat grain fed beef than eat a plant-based diet. If you have to pick your poison I think meat is the best deal.

HM, whatever you prefer.
But hormons are rather an old story :)
If you do your deep research, you will face complete other things. Best

I hope it's understood that what I'm saying is diversity in human species evolved from a diet high in plant consumption. Meaning 70% plant and they ate 30% meat.

Vegans are 100% plants which of course is unsustainable for the body. The same can be said for people who mostly eat meat. People who consume mostly meat also run into health issues.

What plants can you eat in Europe? I mean how do you get 70% of diet from plants when plants are low in calories?

In the summer you can stock up berries in Europe but you cannot eat 70% of your diet from that. Maybe root vegetables but again they are low in calories.

I do not believe we ate 70% plants. That is my opinion. It is not realistic. We do not digest plants like gorilla's do for example. We simply cannot extract the same nutrition out of plants that a lot of herbivores/omnivores can.

This is important to know imo, especially for us who seek to improve health.

It is plants that are diverse and that diversity affected our ancestors. Some lineages had access to exotic plants, while others did not. Some ate more land creatures while other ate more from the ocean.

Imagine the world empty of all the junk we have today. There'd only be a few things to influence development. Diet, interbreeding and physical activity.

Plants are the primary mover in our genetic expression and diversity. One plant can cause multiple chemical reactions in the body compared to meat which is important but doesn't contain the same type of potential spark.

Imagine it this way, the human body is an sculpture art piece where meat is the glue that holds it together and keeps it standing and plants are what give it a unique pattern and shape.

70% not sure.

I can see other asians/south asians etc, we are all like 5'11-6'2, BUT* eat differently! than our parents (or what they told us to eat, and what their parents told them to eat). ALSO, mostly I'm talking about people raised here. BUT* also, the richer ones seem to have less health probs etc (although, people only see what you let them).
I destroy 99/100 at the gym, BUT IT's TRAINING and years of practice.... and also probably being hypo/hyperactive, no patience, and a bunch of other stuff that has negative effects, but positive for motivation. IF I ate, the crazy ways back home (like in a lot of cultures - bread), I'd probably be fat. AND tired.

Explained so many times to some fm members how to get healthier, but no longer patience as an adult. So, I leave a text/ or an email, or an offhand remark.
BUT, it's also random genetic variation... Hence, why dad's uncles (90+) are all 6'2, and mom's uncles/cousins lots were/are too. AND dad's closest relatives are taller, but dad had no money.... let alone diet understanding, or money for said diet.

IN healthy times, if I eat well 80-90%++, I can eat whatever the hell and not get sick. Hell, I didn't have hangovers till 26 or so. That may have also been "training".
BUT usually I choose not to, bc then hate self... or bad digestion a day or two. SO yeah, can't eat whatever is in front of me, but don't want to either.

But "whatever works, works."
A lot of those Hollywood types (with perfect genetics) become vegan, or other similar... but trained and lived, played sports, worked out, ran around... till 35 45 , etc, then became vegan.

We have evolved the teeth for processing, chewing, and the rest for digestion of meat and veg.
I.e. "humans" are omnivores.

There's convergence over time (w.r.t. upbringing, food, medical care, etc) - of heights, age of living, etc... for immigrants that move.
Richer you are, the less likely you are to have anything other than first world problems. First gen born = messed up in many ways, second better more well adapted bc parents are less invasive.

I like plants, fish, and some meat. Not too much meat when I’m doing all sorts of chelation, herxheimer stuff like I am right now. Too much meat slows metabolism- leads to constipation or just bad, irregular stools.

But it’s gotta be the right plants and fish and meat. Food combining I feel is an essential tactic for some people to take in.

Sounds like a bunch of woo woo.

I think where you are from, temperature, landscape, amount of sun influence our genetics. This is why Europeans have light skin. We need less sun for more vitamin D (sensitive to sun) while Africans need more sun for same amount of vitamin D. (example)

Our intelligence and ability to use tools as weapons has made us the apex predator.

Meat contains so much more nutrients. It does not compare to plants. Especially meat from healthy animal.

Using plants in medicinal way can be beneficial I think.

Meat has been demonised a lot. This is why people think plant-based diet is healthy. And it will only become more in the future. Because plant-based products are cheap to produce. It is not about health.

Go check Haldimann on YouTube. He explains how being vegan made him more masculine and potent, how bis body transformed, etc. Eating plants is not equal beeing vegan. Vegan = anticancer lifestyle.
Plants will metabolized in carbos by body. Some plants have ideal combinations and!!!! ratios of minerals!!! So what are we taking about here? You can absorbe the ingredients oft plants by making juice/by blending very well.
Carbos /eating: You dont need more than 500 kcal a day a russian doc found by doing experiments. But it is depending in what you eat!
We do have Diabetes, energy lows etc.due to eating 3 times a day mainly carbos and protein.
It is difficult for the human body to digest carbos, proteins and fat together. Better is just to eat only meat! Only vegis, only fat.
Some african ppl get only meat by hunting but without Hormons, etc. and are superhealthy (no dentist needed).

No human eats plant-based diet in a natural environment.

I think juicing the plant and getting rid of fiber is best thing you can do. I do not think plants are useless. It is the plant-based diets that are wrong. Most people these days already eat plant-based diet. They just have to drop their 1 meal with meat and they are vegan.

If you want to know what animals eat in nature you look at them in nature. Which means you look at humans in natural environment. Not surrounded by Big Pharma, dentists, doctors, medication, fake vegetables, fake fruits.

Humans eat a lot of meat (saturated fat, cholesterol) like blood, organs, brains, muscle meat, liver, etc. And they often eat it raw.

Richer you are, more likely your kids only have first world probs. Epigenetics, random variation, socioeconomic status play a role.

I'm the only one with asthma but more jacked then most. BUT* ten years ago, I was in good shape but skinny with a large frame, had a female cousin way more jacked than me, but her father and his brother were quite jacked in younger days (fatter in older age, with drinking and excessive eating). She's 6'1.

IT seemed, I was the only one with allergies, now... younger cousins, neices, nephews, etc have them, even back home.

If I go back home, literally EVERYTHING can kill me. THE HEAT***, humidity***, water****, insects****, allergens (nuts in all foods).
I go awol in crowded areas, and the popn density their alone was shocking as a kid, probably enraging now.
They quit meat cause the meat you geht today is cancerogen. There are studies. Beging vegan prolings your life.

Being vegan prolongs life, AS meat is nowadays cancerogen. Studies showing this AS well.
Eating 30% less, prolongs life by 5-10%.
Ppl eating meat have also b12 deficiency.
Generally said: meat and plants / veggis can be contaminated by parasites, h.metals, Hormons, antibiotics. So, here you are. I wish we had the quality 100 years ago.

Yes both meat and vegetables are low quality now. Still meat is superior in nutrients.

Low B12 will give neuropathy. Most vegans get this in long term if they do not inject. I have not read about meat eaters having this problem.

The fact that vegans have to inject themselves with B12 (Big Pharma) shows that the diet is not natural and not sustainable without Big Pharma giving you some help.

I also wish we had quality of 100 years ago. But here in Holland I can still find local farmers if I really wanted quality meat. Right now I do not feel like spending a shit ton of money on food.

Cooked meat causes cancer. Raw meat does not. I still cook meat though I do not care.

Plant-based diet causes mental illness from deficiencies. Low cholesterol. Low saturated fat. This is why vegans often have God Complex/paranoia/aggression. That is called starving yourself.

Re meat intake of origines, I agree absolutely. Saturazed fats are demonizised cause very good for the vessels and hormons and potency! Here we are! It is the cholesterol lie! Thete is no bad cholesterol. Thats why butter was demon. as well.
Re herbs/plants (thats all vegan lifestyle), you know for sure the asian kitchen and the chinese medicine (4000! years old). The meat nowadays is not healthy anymore. I posted.
Important is to know, we cannot eating meat and other stuff at the same time. Thats why eating only meat or vegan stuff is best.
