When i say mood disorders i would include things like behavioral problems (especially in children/teenagers), Bipolar, ADD/ADHD, (social) anxiety, depression, suicidal feelings, violence, schizophrenia, narcissism. Theres a lot more but these are the things i can think of, you get the idea.
Ever since i started reading about the effects of vitamins/minerals/oxidation rate on the body, i think about how this could be related to behavior. Take world violence for example, it never stops. Are these people just looking for a ‘thrill?’ Trying to speed themselves up? Getting the stress hormones (adrenaline mainly) pumping? Are they copper toxic?
I also read on the ARL website about coppers effect on behavior which is extremely interesting. ARL : Copper Toxicity
This makes me think about all these children/teens that have issues with rage, anxiety, depression. Does it mean they cant help that they feel this way, because their body is imbalanced? Does this mean psychologists are bullshit talkers in certain cases?
1. When looking at this from a mineral balancing view, is it possible that most, if not all mental disorders are caused by imbalances in your body? For example, copper toxicity. @Helen posted somewhere on the forum that a friend of her took copper and the copper completely changed her friends personality/behavior.
2. This would explain why people who have a mental illness, never really ‘get better’ with things like therapy. They usually only get better when they start taking medication, start exercising, start taking stimulants (from caffeine to more serious stuff).
3. A clear example of copper toxicity is post-partum depression. Postpartum Depression and Copper Toxicity | Samantha Gilbert
4. This would also explain why people become fitness junkies, why people take drugs/gamble/engage in risky behavior. Would explain why teens are so addicted to videogames these days (adrenaline, thrill seekers, copper excess/biounavailability). Would explain why people are literally addicted to drama these days.
This would mean that mental disorders are being treated completely wrong, which is also why there isn’t much success (except for medication, like i said) because they are not treating the underlying problem, but the symptoms.
Just thought this was really interesting.
