I think ive heard such things before, people to go on foreign land and try to get residency just to match with certain standard of life. If you miss the exit on the highway youre in belgium and germany is 25 mins away. Had to explain some friends in US how i always went for sushi in Germany and some shopping in Belgium on the same afternoon . Think you’ll like the vibe.

NY fucking expensive. My cousin said my first apartment (solo) would be an insane cost there... it's harder and harder, with more and more weirdos living like 5-10 in apartment. So one guy can get 700 sqr feet for like 4500 a month. Toronto going up and up.

So ones around on other sides must have been like 10... all like empty. 29th floor, no neighbors for like 4 months (good old days). Then, sketchy mofos all subletting no English... dirty.

Destroyed part of both apartments (shitty construction, and water damage from above, and hit some brackets/walls because of realtors). , covered it up with my "handyman". ALL HK and similar owned. I have plans how to make money in similar ways that draw parallels to this later in the future, so I can rent those out to others. BUt some good place 1600-2500 in 2 yrs is insanse. It's not Dubai or Hong Kong or London or New York. TO nitelife is crap outside of random, sometimes good sketchy things. BUT, that's who you know. I don't even like clubs (stopped liking them at 21 after some miscellaneous events).
