Not sure to be honest. I did take a supplement with zinc in it for a couple of years with my pfs. Maybe that has caused my zinc levels to go too high

Yes it is possible, but zinc increases potassium and i don't see high potassium on that test so maybe your body was making all that zinc biounavailable

For how long you take potassium? And what dose?
A few months but I started off very slowly at an incredibly small dosage. Even that gave me side effects - paralysis of my arms and legs, breathing issues etc.

Gradually I could withstand smaller dosages so I transitioned my way up slowly.

At the larger doses, after a few days, the side effects got major so I stopped.

Improvements occurred a couple of weeks after stopping

Went back to the doctor, got test forms for calcium and magnesium and b1 and b2.

Will have calcium and magnesium results within 72 hours.

B1 and B2 might take a couple of weeks.

@Helen

I have no idea what to do now. Those results above are the worst possible as they offer no clue as to what's going on.

I have low copper and high zinc in hair and high cortisol in blood. Along with low cobalt and low manganese.

Could low manganese, low copper, low cobalt have anything to do with methylation?

I am getting blood tests for zinc and copper, and b1 and b2. b1 and b2 will take 2 - 3 weeks to come back.

I am lost now. No idea what to do now.

Not sure if this helps or not, but other things I've taken along the journey:

Ventolin, aldara, oil of oregano, lavender oil, 5 htp, berberine, allicin, pau d'arco.

berberine and lavender oil are slightly anti androgenic, be careful
Yeah I don’t take any of that stuff any more. It’s what I took in the past.

The more I think about this, I think our issues are down to over methylating. Hence the low copper, the low histamine we all get, high zinc due to low histamine,

I think we should probably focus on trying to get this methylation up. For this I’m thinking of taking histidine.

What do you think @Helen

@Helen

Been having a think about it all. So what we know is my hair looks balanced, bloods look good.

Main issue is low copper.

Was thinking - we really need to wait till we get b1 and b2 bloods back. Because if b2 is low, calcium wont be digested and although normal in blood, it wont allow estrogen and copper to go up.

And with copper being low, I wouldn't be absorbing b2 very quickly from my diet. Only very slowly. Hence since potassium dosing, ive improved slowly each week. So it's a vicious cycle once copper goes low.

What do you think about this?

Haha yes. I got annoyed at bloods yesterday with calcium and magnesium being normal. Felt helpless.

Will now wait for b1 and b2 to come back. Takes between 2 to 3 weeks. Same timeframe for zinc and copper bloods.

Has anyone else got b1 or b2 tested on this forum? I haven't seen any results of those two anywhere.

Interesting. Looks like it’s a key piece.

If we are low in all, do we take all b vitamins?

Or should we just take b2, get copper and estrogen working again via calcium being digested without having to take the other bs which will lower potassium?

Here is my current stack, that I am having success with(1.5 months):

B1: 400mg, B2: 1,000mg, B3: 250mg, B5: 500mg, B6: 50mg, Folate: 1000mcg, B12: 50mcg, Biotin: 50mcg, Folinic acid: 800mg

I see progress week to week, replenishing B1/2 seems to takes months at high dose, its a slow process.
