Can you reverse blindness?

I have a friend who was in a motor cycle accident back in September. He had brain swelling, fluid that caused more pressure around his brain, and meningitis. He was unconscious for 3 months, but has been consious and doing better in the last month. He gets headaches every now, and minor memory issues, but the worst thing is that he is blind now. He says he can't see anything at all.

My question is, is there anything that can be done to help regain some of his sight.

I was thinking bio pqq could maybe help. I know it helped with some nerve damage I had in a finger. If anyone has any insight on this it would be helpful.

I feel terrible for him and was just wondering if there was anything I could do. The doctors just say wait see what happens.

I think without knowing specifically what is causing the blindness it's impossible to suggest anything. The doctors advice is probably best - just hold on and it might come back on it's own, especially if he's been out for months. Just have to give your body everything it needs to give it the best chance for recovery - excellent nutrition, try and get good sleep, get exercise. Probably best thing you could do for him is go out to the gym or take him on some long walks, or get him a cycling machine

i share apprehensions. and for instance i dont think it will cure a mood disorder (maybe methylation etc) and adhd. money and better women is fine enough, even if it just helps stuff and doesn't "CURE" that. so discipline, job satisfaction , and not living in a terrible place will help. if tei ain't solve pfs (2-3 symptoms), ill get it fixed in other ways. possibly can seriously help one of those issues tho and I saw it did, but that isn't super severe. CAN be quite severe if combined with some other horrible inciting incident, such as when I took effexor and later when I took Finasteride. --helped me sexually too (so pfs), but need more cycles.

Also it's not funny to make fun of a guy here's friend who had a traumatic brain injury, you fucking douchebag.

To be clear: I'm not saying TEI will fix this. I am saying, I think there is a good chance to restore vision but of course the brain is very complicated.
I've seen some brain issues heal (severe, brain surgery needed) completely in a person. This is not always the case of course.

Maybe multiple neurosurgeons looking at the scans can give potential options and outlooks for prospective treatments?

CCSVI or Inclined Bed Theraphy (which is the same procedure but takes more time) !!! He probably have some problem with veins after accident, which cause poor CSF circulation and drainage of CSF-this cause Intracranial hypertension. I know that people after CCSVI surgery regain his vision just after surgery.

If he can please ask him if he can do MRV (Magnetic Resonance Veinography) of Head/Neck Veins.

But first option is raising his bed 6 degree from head side. Symptoms / changes to monitor while using inclined bed therapy (IBT) Parameters - Inclined Bed Therapy IBT - Restore & Support Your Health

I will contact with you in 3 months Goose12 by priv, just to ask what progress your friend have.

I was thinking the same thing @tanedout . At this point I would be to scared to give him any kind of supplements because his body and brain are still trying to stabilize. He said he still gets severe headaches and he is not allowed to have caffeine or do anything to stimulateing yet, because his brain is still recovering. The doctors said it could take up to two years before he completely stabilizes. He has lost a lot of strength and goes to a physical therapist twice a week.

@ruprmurdoch the inclined bed therapy is very nice interesting. Does it have to be at 6 degree s or is a little more better? At the hospital they of course kept the bed inclined and when he was consious at the care facility he had to keep the bed inclined or his headaches were worse. He is currently at home with his parents, but he naturally sleeps that way because of his injury. I guess you would need a Fitbit to monitor him but I don't have a control to compare it to?

@MNK99 Thanks for the support guys. I know I am rambling a little but it's nice to get it off my chest.

Smh I’m sorry goose. I’m sure if there is a will there is a way.

I know you keep very quiet about your issues. I don’t know if you told him what happened to you yet, but please do. You’re coming back extremely strongly from a major disability. let him know he can do the same.

If I had to put money on something, I'd say stem cells.

He needs to restore his electrolytes levels and wait. the swelling will come down, and he will see again.

it is just swelling right now blocking his visual nerve and blood vessels.

You can put him on the program and it will help. ( since the program will raise his progesterone levels)

Usually swelling happens since cortisol goes sky high. and then that cause hypokalemia.

Thus progesterone is used to fight the swelling after stroke, or injury or whatever

I do not believe they keep the bed inclined properly, if yes, they are good. Sorry for my mistake - it's 5 degreethat is the best. One more time 5 degree !

You probbably ment 6 Inch raise. that way you get a 5 degree incline :)

Ive been doing incline bed therapy for a couple of months now and one of the first improvements i saw was that i wasnt snoring anymore.
You'll also wake up with a lot warmer feet and hands.
Deffinitely recomend this to your friend goose.

Thanks everyone for your help. It's all great advice. Now I just have to figure out how to bring it up to him and his family. They are all very mainstream like most people, believe in what the doctors tell them and nothing else. I know they will think about am crazy but I know it will be worth it. Just have to figure out how to spin it.

I had a similar situation with my dad and his cancer. I tried to convince him not to do chemo but he wouldn't listen. Me and my brother tried to convince him to try some alternative treatments. It's a terrible feeling trying to help someone who won't listen.

@bruschi11 you are right I need to confide in him and try to get him to do the same.

So basically the option s are tei, electrolytes, stem cell, and/or bed inclined.

Pretty sure the TEI suggestion was sarcastic..

@Admiral i don’t get why you’re shitting on tei so much. You went from taking a dump every 2 days to being completely normal.

Lol when my gut went from that to normal I Was so pumped. “This is what it’s like to be able to shit right niceee.”

You have your gut now. Maybe try something else from here. You can digest now which is huge.

Ever consisting fasting once a week for 24-36 hours? Man I think it really just shakes body up and keeps me strong. I gotta start doing it again.

It’s funny but gbold’s latest stuff advocates fasting so it makes Sense it can really help. Moonchild on solvepfs did it a lot, chi did the one day fasts.
