Do you have a link to increased 5 ar theory? Looks like it means 5 ar is working for me..?

The results fall in line with Helens theory, increased 5a reductase. Your test is crazy low and your e is crazy high. Tei will fix all of this. It will just take time. Stick with the program and live your life. Before you know it you will be getting better and eventually cured. Also issues you didn't realize you had will get better.

I am trying to find it. Maybe I am confused but I thought there was one theory where 5 alpha is increased and 5 beta is decreased.

Maybe I confused 5alpha with AR receptors

I am still 100% in favor of tei but I wonder how you would feel on randro with that high of estrogen. Have you tried randro before?

Did tei recommend vitamin e? That would help lower estrogen also.

Not tried randro yet. This is exactly what I was thinking a few minutes back. Do you think it might help lower E and /or increase T ?

I do have vitamin E in TEI and tried it for sometime.

There is a good possibility andro would help and it should at least help lower E. But the for sure thing is tei.

Its like the fable of the tortoise and the hare. Slow and steady wins the race lol.

Here is a good YouTube channel on nutritional balancing. The testimonials are encouraging.

Thanks:)
From @Helen post:
“But when you go off fin, this increases 5 alpha back to normal and beyond , but it totally inhibits 5 beta even more since NADPH decreases 5 beta

This is why andro works( inhibits 5 alpha) , 5 alpha inhibitors work, licorice works( increases cortisol) and this pushed 5 beta higher, dexamethasone , and progesterone. amino acids, zinc finger , RU lowers metabolism and increases cortisol and 5 beta increased . they all decrease need for cortisol and this increases 5 beta reductase.”

This might explain why 5 alpha reductase is higher than 5 beta reductase in my case. However I still need some more inputs in understanding why my testosterone is so low. Based on steroid pathway, this is what my thought process is on why T is low:
1. 17bHSD responsible for Androstenedione to T conversion and 3bHSD for Androstenediol to T conversion
2. Androstenedione also converts to Androsterone with 5alpha and Etiocholanolone with 5beta. Since my Androsterone is at higher end and so is 5 alpha, this implies majority of Androstenedione got converted to Androsterone as all enzymes were competing with one another and 5 alpha was high and so gets bigger share. (For some reason even though 5 beta is low, still Etiocholanolone is within range which i’m Not sure why.)
3. For some reason looks like either DHEA to androstenediol conversion or Androstenediol to T was inhibited (why?)
4. In addition to high 5 alpha , possible inhibition of 17bHSD or 3bHSD by finasteride can likely cause low conversion to T unless i’m Missing anything. Do we have any data on this?

My naturopath thinks that grape seed extract which is an aromatase inhibitor will help in improving my T by suppressing aromatisation which is resulting In High E.

Waiting for my 3rd TEI test (this time scalp sample)

Do you still suffer from bloating in face and stomach?

Not sure of hot shower but if I put on too many or tight clothes, it is worse
Could you provide the link or clinic where you had the DUTCH TEST?
I am going to have one plus, did you ever compared the DUTCH TEST with blood tests?
If yes are they similar?
I am asking because few months ago I have done saliva test and they completely did not match at all with blood test.

Yes I did compared with my old Testosterone report. They were in different points in time however directionally were similar - both report show T on lower side.

For B12, my most recent test a few months back show normal results however Dutch test highlighted a possibility of b12 deficiency ..

Got TEI retest report (scalp hair). This report have some differences vs one with pubic hair. Most supps stayed the same except B6 replaced by Min-Plex

Also, took grape see extract and DIM as recommended by doctor. Will try it for few days before going back to TEI

Not sure few days will ever do anything...maybe cycling it for longer periods could give you an higher chance to work better.

I have tried grape seed extract and DIM for over a week now.
-Initially felt very good - more energy and libido
-After day 3, had dry skin even though continued to have good energy. Today, along with dry skin I’m feeling muscular pain especially shoulder and back.
Not sure why? I was assuming this combo will reduce aromatisation and help in retaining T but don’t think that’s happening
