    KJB Finasteride Log

Hello everyone, Here is my log since starting finasteride. I will try to continuously update it for myself and anyone who may be able to learn from it. I really need to figure out what's going on with me and hope you guys who have been through this can assist me. I started finasteride 2 years...

    5a-DHP

Not only did the brain fog clear up but my pulse increased and I feel like I can breathe deeply. It's like while in brain fog I was drugged out, sedated, and couldn't even breathe properly. Why would this be the case? If we assume there is a lack of allopregnegnelone in the brain we would...

    5a-DHP

Update: I took 1mg of 5a-DHP in the midst of SEVERE brain fog. I would say that it is 50% alleviated. Also, I feel as if my eyesight is slightly sharper. 5a-DHP is a neurosteroid that binds to the progesterone receptor. From Wikipedia: 5α-DHP is an agonist of the progesterone receptor and a...

    5a-DHP

What do you guys think of 5a-DHP, have you had success with it? It is a precursor to allopregnegnalone and is produced via progesterone with 5a-reductase. So supplementing it would bypass the need for 5-ar. Not sure if this was posted elsewhere but I could not find anything on it.

Can someone try Wormwood to block GABA A receptor and see if you feel recovered.

I don't know if this is relevant but when I drink red wine I feel like I temporarily snap out of brain fog. To my knowledge alcohol is a GABA-A agonist, but perhaps it is also in some sense blocking out "real" GABA? Have people noticed improvement with Glycine, which is also a GABA agonist? I...

Finasteride 'crash' while still on the drug?

@Helen would you like to weigh in? I read in one of your posts a theory of 5a-reductase "balancing" but didn't quite understand it. In any case, I would go on dutasteride for a short while if it somehow meant avoiding longer term consequences. At the moment idk what this feeling is. I guess...

Finasteride 'crash' while still on the drug?

So essentially, once you crashed while on the drug, the drug lost its efficacy and you basically couldn't tell a difference anymore? I wonder if this happened for me. Because right after the crash I began to get sick again...I haven't noticed much hair loss but perhaps a little bit more. So, I...

Finasteride 'crash' while still on the drug?

Yes I was highly stressed! Crazy how we all have such similar experiences. I have been thinking up ways to go off of it to minimize damage for a while now. I considered a long taper. I also considered hopping on dutasteride, to balance out the reductases. But I don't know...also, I am thinking...

RWAC's PFS log (on the TEI train)

Y es, that is how I feel right now ! And I rarely get sick. the first year and a half, zero sickness. Now I get sick on occasion. So, would you recommend TEI over the other lab?

Finasteride 'crash' while still on the drug?

Is this possible? I had what I swear must have been a crash last summer. Fast forward 8 months or so, still on the drug, but still feel fucked post crash. My symptoms during the first crash was first, a mysterious "viral" illness. All kinds of viral symptoms. Then, I had a disorienting...

    Nmn, NR, NAD IV drip

Wouldn't Niacinamide have the same effect at boosting NAD+ or am I wrong?

Haircolor - Iron & Copper connection

I have a strong feeling I am toxic in something, but why is it that I am also getting these 'deficiency' signs? Like, low copper (in urine, ceruloplasmin, etc) numbers and low ferritin... Is it possible to be iron toxic w/ relatively low ferritin? I could very well be toxic in copper somewhere...

    Copper

Weird but I just ate chocolate and immediately got cold hands and sort of racing, creative thoughts. Therefore I assume that it is due to the copper but wouldn't this mean that the copper was being utilized by ceruloplasmin? If its stored or free copper it wouldn't be used. My body must actually...
