Why does RU cause oily skin? Mine is getting worse as time goes on.

    Going back on Accutane...

Are you following a specific protocol when fasting to remove vitamin A? I will look into foods with zinc and taurine.

    Going back on Accutane...

No worries bro! Appreciate all the guidance. I’ve actually been working with a Naturopath for 3 years now. Done all the gut testing...everything came back pretty good...but I think I need to do some repair now just because of the recent antibiotic I was on not too long ago. Currently on a...

Starting 500mg Azithromycin daily to kickstart progesterone.

I’m taking p5p as well. Haven’t noticed anything.

    Going back on Accutane...

@bruschi11 I appreciate the guidance and I will look into the organic testing. I have an appointment with my Naturopath in a few weeks to discuss it with him. I am working on rebuilding my gut bacteria after the round of antibiotics. I don’t understand your comment, “you said you are...

Starting 500mg Azithromycin daily to kickstart progesterone.

30 days on 250mg of Azithromycin reversed my muscle wasting. I loved the feeling having weight on my bones again. Of course within a couple weeks after the 30 day course, muscle wasting returned. I don’t know if it was the 3 beta hsd that reversed my muscle wasting. If so, would love to find an...

    Going back on Accutane...

@bruschi11 I have not fasted...at least not for longer than 4-5 days. I have gone through two rounds of mineral balancing via a hair test but the shrinkage got so bad I couldn’t go on with it. I’m dealing with something new here...a bad reaction to RU...so yes, I am following a dermatologist’s...

    Going back on Accutane...

I hear you. I understand that about the vitamin A saturation. It’s just my scalp and face are so bad, and now the rest of my body is showing rash/acne as well. I’m just lost. And so is my doctor unfortunately. Still, I haven’t tried fasting yet so maybe I’ll do that before jumping on Accutane.

    Going back on Accutane...

I do use a good cleanser and moisturizer however my condition just continues to worsen. I have not yet tried retinol due to the vitamin A but maybe I will give that a try before Accutane. But it’s difficult to use retinol on the scalp. I cant eat dairy or gluten...haven’t been able to for a...

    Going back on Accutane...

Sexual sides have only worsened over the years. No sign of improvement. Physical sides have not improved either. I was able to gain some weight when I was on an antibiotic several weeks ago, but now that I’m off the antibiotic, muscle wasting has returned.

    Going back on Accutane...

The acne and oily skin that has resulted from my RU trial has gone on for too long and has progressed too severely. I see no other option but to go back on Acccutane. Hoping someone has some other suggestions for me on how I can treat this oily skin and acne. Please let me know if you have...

Digestion is fine at the moment, despite being on an antibiotic for 4 weeks (stopped two weeks ago I believe...felt better while on the antibiotic because I was able to gain weight while on it). Depression...I definitely have that. It’s impossible not to when I look the way I do. Fatigue is...

Interesting comment regarding estrogen. My estrogen was very high prior to RU. After RU my estrogen levels were in range. Not sure if that’s good or bad. I read high estrogen prevents hair loss. Glad to hear things are going well for you. Sleepless nights are awful so I’m glad to hear you’re...

    Mini-Me's Log

@Helen I realize now RU resulted in a skin issue...perhaps not necessarily a hair issue. I believe the hair loss is simply a symptom of the skin inflammation. So I was curious to get your thoughts on what RU may have done to my skin. I think it has something to do with the receptors and...
