This is my individual opinion:

Horse shoe pattern baldness is mg / ca ratio. You want mg higher in the hair test. This is the calcification ratio. Commonly men are calcium dominant.
Solutions include taking b6, chromium, magnesium, more fats less carbs, less stress

I think thinning is caused from too fast oxidation (too high na, k and too low cu). Solutions include slowing down, meditating, more slow oxi foods (fats, ca and mg and cu rich foods), TEI supps

Overall I think pattern baldness is caused in men by a combination of things: stress which leads to inflammation and androgen (excessive dht production in certain physiologies) production.

You see women before menopause seem to be somehow protected from this... I dont know how it works, it must just be their hormone wiring. Some men are also protected from this - they must either produce less dht or inflammation or a combination of both. Obviously women have very small amounts of dht, but they suffer from stress just like men. But no baldness.

Anyway I think its important to look at other ways also to combat inflammation - I.e. avoiding lectins or dietary intolerances and by increasing antioxidants/ polyphenols

So who is at risk of mpb?
Men 18+
Women after menopause

Who is at risk of thinning?
Everyone

Who avoids baldness?
People with balanced body chemistries
People who lucked out genetically
People with imbalanced body chemistries but chemistries that retain hair (I.e. high mg, high k)... finasteride may accomplish this but at great cost. Healthier natural alternatives might be including soy in your diet and anti inflammatory nutrient rich food
