Hey hey, where abouts is Pete's recovery documented? I'm keen to give it a read!

https://pssdlab.wordpress.com/pete-low-dose-ssri/
Thanks man, that's pretty amazing stuff. I wonder how different my case would be, considering an SNRI (Pristiq) caused my issues.

Yes, it is the most intriguing recovery that I read about, the most interesting part is that the dose that he used dont even affect SERT.

Drop this idea that venlafaxine/desvenlafaxine are NRIs, the noradrenalin reuptake inhibition effect of them is insignificant, was just a marketing move.

Isn't it dose dependent Shadow AS in Effexor (Venlafaxine) is an SSRI at lower doses and an NRI at higher doses (I think above 75mg or so). Could be Pfizer's bs marketing as you said.

Edit: OH just skimmed your link. Figures, NRI and Dopamine agonists (Adderall which is norepinephrine and dopamine releasing helped a ton the few days I used it) would likely help my ADHD, whereas Effexor made me not even know what day it was (misdiagnosis days).

Oh wow, I had a read of that link, thanks man! That's pretty relieving. I was worried that if we eventually found a 'cure', that it wouldn't work due to the whole SNRI thing.

I wonder if there's any risk with taking these drugs at such low doses? Obviously we'd all love to avoid touching ADs again, but it could be the answer.

I wonder if trying ella every other 3 days, like the low dose ssri trial would do anything

@barbaar any effect of the inositol on you?
Last week was amazing. Not sure if it was the inositol but I felt 85% back to normal. Decent-ish morning wood, even some libido! But that all went away again last Friday, back to my 'meh' baseline again.

Now I have to decide if I want to try the zinc finger protocol next, or do an Ella + licorice cycle.

licorice did help me energy wise, not libido though. The zinc finger thing is ofcourse very interesting to follow, dont think anyone with PSSD has tried it yet?
@gbolduev any insights here? Ella did not stick with barbaar, but did help. Anything to make it stick or should the PSSD community also slowly try the zinc finger route?

I think he said zinc finger might help for pretty much everything people are discussing on this site. I ordered all the required aminos already, and I'm also looking to get a hair mineral analysis done so I'm not going in completely blind again. With the xmas holiday coming up I might also finally have time to try and convince my GP to do some blood tests.

It is that hard to ask for some blood test over there?

Official route, on something that has limited acknowledgement, yes in my case. Basic things like testosterone and thyroid is standard, but progestrone and mineral is often not even considered....

Daaamn, the last Dr that I saw is very nice! Very different from the others, he even talked about taking a piece of fat to test aromatase LOL

It's all luck unfortunately, I had a doctor who wouldn't let me get any bloods apart from mineral and thyroid, so I switched and now I have a doctor who gets me anything I ask for.

@barbaar might be worth asking if you can switch to another doctor at your practice?

Mate change your doctor if you feel you have to convince them to take bloods! There are plenty of docs out there that will be do tests on request for any reason, I've never had any trouble.

I really should look for another one. This one tried putting me back on antidepressants because he was convinced all my issues could be explained by me still being depressed lol.

Since it will be a while before all the aminos I ordered will arrive, I decided to start my second cycle of Ella today.

I will be taking 10mg a day, for 3 days. Every day I will also take 3x 1 tsp. of licorice root powder, spread over the course of the day. Hopefully this will help the effects of ella stick better this time.

Will be interesting to see if a higher dosage does anything different!
