Bulletproof Gut Protocol - Questions, Comments, Experiences

Im a week in to this protocol. After a few days my stools were perfectly formed and my digestive system feels very robust. Im feeling very agitated and easily angered though. Yesterday just the slightest things and noises were annoying me. Has anyone else experienced this? Some kind of die off reaction maybe? Also my energy levels have dropped quite a bit. I am feeling extremely sluggish in the morning where as normally i have no problem getting straight out of bed. Hopefully this is all a good sign that things are being fixed and good bacteria being propagated again.

It takes at least 2 months for the good guys to grow, cut the dose if u have to

And I also thought that bacteria can help make and absorb minerals? So your bacteria would actually control minerals and vitamin balance not the other way around @Helen

Like if you have a shit gut how could you properly absorb and create minerals while becoming balanced?

Dude, I think I theorized pretty much about everything in the previous post.

I have been doing sibo protocols since 2009 and tried everything. even fecal transplants)) which were the best at least for me.

question is do you need bacteria to absorb things or not. that is the question.

usually small intestine should be sterile. where absorption takes place.

and colon has some bacteria, question is does that bacteria just happen there? naturally, like if you leave a piece of meat outside.

I am sure that bacteria helps you to digest and buffer things.

as I already mentioned to you , that in the summer e coli goes up and winter goes down.

it is helping you . question is can you live without that help or not.

Since in this stupid world these days, your help can turn into enemy/

lets say e coli makes extra k2 to supplement your diet.

and it is summer now, and you eat a lot of calcium and boom it is helping you.

but then you sleep with some chick, she gets you a fungus, e coli dies and lacto grows, and it is still summer.

then you get no e coli, which is may be ok, since you still get k2 from the diet, and high lacto which increases your calcium even more. So this flora now is hurting you. and your metabolism adjusts to accomodate it.

and lets say if some one was on antibiotic antifungal antiviral. then nothing will ever overgrow and metabolism will never have to adjust to any destructive changes in flora or viruses.

Of course this i just a theory and you are right I don't know if you can live sterile. or not.

so may be aging is your metabolism actually adjusting to flora, than flora adjusting to your metabolism.

This is just a theory. i am just theorizing on the possibility of no external factors affecting you. and live for ever )). of course if flora is indeed needed so much for digestion of things, and conversion, then yes, it is a bad idea.

take this protocol as it is. I did this tons of times. lets see if this helps you . as it is. and then we will think further.

dont worry about screwing yourself up with probios, if something goes wrong, we can always take xifaxan and kill all that stuff to zero.

From reading this I’m assuming the probiotics may have also made me feel bad instead of it being the green powder or perhaps TEI. Perhaps I should just do resistant starch instead when I try this again. I’m sure I’ve got some sort of SIBO or something unless fasting can kill it.

you need to do this at least for 1-2 months to see, since \I will assume, if there is any infection in small intestine, then feeding probiotics in there, might make it feel worse at first. since it will be war zone there.

but may be overtime, bad guys die.

If you feel worse after 2 months. then probably you make your sibo worse. and sibo is made up from normal bacteria. @Boris

So just starch for 2 months to get everything clear? I can handle that. Going to find a different green superfood powder though just to be sure.

wh,y ? you can try all this protocol as it is. how long did you take it for? I said that may be if you feed probiotics at first you may feel worse. since they are fighting the bad guys.

and when bad guys die, then everything calms down, and you wont react to them

I’d say 5-6 days is how long I took it for. That maybe the reason. Other potential issue is how much extra stuff is in the green powder too (if it is getting absorbed by chance).

5-6 days is nothing, you need to take it for months to see if it works or not.

without GB, I bet you have tons of bad guys in small intestine.

Alright, I guess I’ll stick it back out. It was making me feel pretty damn awful. I thought it was just healing reactions related to TEI. I feel much better off it now.

I was also assuming the same thing, with lack of Gb, bad guys are probably aplenty.

Once your natural microbiota starts growing they will reestablish control and you will feel so much better..

I’ll give it another go starting tonight. I was seriously feeling the worst I’ve felt since early 2016 when I first crashed with PFS (not even close to that, don't get me wrong, but that’s the worst I’ve felt in awhile) That’s why I was asking if the healing reactions happened when I asked you that. I was like “woah, what the fuck....”

This is how I see it for a lot of people like myself and why I thrived in late 2017, early 2018. The gut was prerequisite #1 for me in sending my system towards balanced.

I’m sure for others this isn’t the case. Where they are past the gut as it’s already optimal, but that % of guys maybe smaller than you think.

Things like electrolyte balance could play major role in balancing gut microbiome though. Whereas not everything has to be perfect, but trending in correct direction. Post hydrogen water, my electrolyte balance was so thrown off that working on gut wasn’t really possible.

Try some detoxification methods when you’re not feeling good from this and see how you react. Dry sauna, ice baths, magnesium. Use your joov. Maybe even a coffee enema.

Yeah the joovv definitely helped, I use it daily so I was using it then. Coffee enema isn’t a bad idea. I’m not stone cold like you and can keep cool during those extreme healing type events. Maybe it’s my shot cortisol/stress response system from PTSD, but I start having PFS flashbacks and get very anxious lol.

I think I'm almost a month in you know. Not sure if it's helping in any obvious sense but it sure is tasty!

Anyone else have especially loose stools on this? I do tend to poop twice a day now.

It can do that since the fiber holds onto water

It’s funny you mention that - I tried taking just some of the Amazing Greens stuff and after a couple of days I was getting extremely agitated at the slighted thing. Usually I’m very calm and laid back, but I was feeling like the slighted thing would send me into a rage - not a nice feeling.

I’ve stopped taking it now as I think it’s making my sibo worse (prebiotics like fos etc are actually generally to be avoided for sibo from what I’ve read), and it seemed to piss off my prostate which could be due to the green tea in it. I’ve ordered just plain wheatgrass powder to try instead.

Do you think it could be making the body dump copper or something?

The feeling of anger was really pronounced - the slightest thing was annoying me to the point where I wanted to smash something up. Was only taking a tiny bit of the greens stuff too, nowhere near the 7g daily dose.

Stopped taking it now & I’m back to calm and laid back!

it could chelate and bind mercury also. I personally could not tolerate spirulina in PFS at all. I was suspecting high tryptophan content of it. but it could have been chelation.

I know a lot of people can't tolerate chlorophyll with pyroluria, may be that was that.

No matter what you take you will have initial bad symptoms if it really is helping you, IMO.
