I have some AMAZING news. The past 2 days, I’ve begun to experience emotions I hadn’t felt in 1-2 years. Not expecting this to be continuous, but I plan to fast until monday evening (9 days exactly). Hopefully as I continue to fast and do protocols, there will br more of this. I never had amy of this happen my first 2 times doing 5+ day fasting.

-Awesome, man. Keep it up!
-Yes keep fasting up, incorporate it with randro/4andro, herbs, etc... whatever you do. Fasted training, carb backloading, post workout (not cheese not gluten, but like rice... potatoes, banana later perhaps, etc).
-Look At Hodge Twins - healthy as horses, and HUGE, and Fasting all the time. (possibly roids, i don't think so tho, not much at least).

While I will probably will do occaisonal fasts in the future, I don’t plan to fast this frequently after I feel like I have made significant recovery.

Fasting is helping to deplete the retinoic acid(accutane) that was stored in your fat tissue and liver since it is toxic. Keep at it.

That’s what I thought it was doing. What I meant to say was after I am feeling significantly better (meaning the retonic acid is depleted) I will probably fast less.

I have had a relatively upset stomache at least simce mid Friday (somewhat on Thursday) and have tried to vomit frequently thoughout the day (even though nothing comes up of course). Is this normal? It is especially bad in the morning when I wake up and after I drink water. Could this have something to do with the IBS a lot of people deal with post Accutane, a general sickness, or what?

Wonder if maybe its just your liver purging out some nasty stuff? Hopefully healing reaction.

I into day 14 today, it does get easier the longer you go, yesterday though had lots of thoughts of food and some hunger pangs, but they subside easily.

Rooting for you

This would make sense considering that much of the pain is from around my liver now that I think about it. Also my stomache has become very acetic too.

I’m planning to only go till day 9 (I have an event woth food on Thursday, and I’ve been feeling incredibly drowsy and every day I feel like I’m turning into a stick with the amount of weight I’m losing) still, these last couple days have been nothing short of a miracle. Everytime I go to the restroom, the piss comes out extra thick. I feel like I’m gettimg some real garbage out of my system (hopefully FIN and ACCTUANE/Retonic Acid)

Also, I should add that the hair loss issue went away after the first few fasts I did (probably also had something to do with the colder weather as well).

After fasting, would it make sense to re-fatten up in order to allow myself to fast lomger next time?

I mean you will gain weight. So I have a tendency to put on weight, but eating a ton eventually and randro and 4andro, I gained a lot of LBM. BUT* not only gaining to baseline (plus a few pounds of water retention) after 45-50d refeeding ( I was pretty scared to add meat for a while, *just in case* and didn't crave it really, but added whey first and also some pea protein (vegan)).
---SO gaining weight with refeed a bit so I was down 20lb (now I'd be down like 15lb sooner, metabolism was BAD back then compared to now).
---BUT a lot more because of working out a lot... and ghrelin, insulin response, gh, and all that...
---With the right stimulus (training, sports), it will all be LBM after a long fast or close enough, especially with other tweaks like Fasted Training.
-I was primed to pack on LBM. And @Orion must have gotten a ton of gains in that regard from 40days Breuss or maybe it was 56d.
--I think you have a decent to good maybe very good metabolism (in good health) @cnb30. You didn't gain weight on an AAP. That's pretty crazy. I mean abilify may not be that bad for weight gain versus a lot of other similar meds. Like Lamotrigine I could lose weight (tho probably in a bad way... maybe make me too fast)... but most these meds are terrible for metabolism... and even then, some have opposite reactions (would gain weight on Lamo).

DOING nothing but getting back to half then .6 .7 and 1.0 x your normal caloric intake will put on weight (but it may not be a ton).

If you're talking about purposely gaining fat... I don't know man. Maybe you're an ectomorph, or more likely it's just a phrase.

I was underweight 10-12 lb maybe like half my 20's but it's not like I *wanted to gain fat*. I realized, yeah you need fat and lean body mass, but the goal should be to get stronger... not put on fat... but put on weight - but more specifically lean body mass with minimal fat gain. OR if you need fat and LBM... then eat like crazy once refeed is well underway. OR after it more likely* when digestion is solid, with betaine HCl and enzymes. But recreate those first, refeeding like @mattyb posted (on the wiki).

If seriously underweight, you would do well to calculate your Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE). I had notes on this, but am pretty good with estimating (myself), bc of years of doing things like that. --I had notes (deleted). --Emma Leigh - Bodybuilding Forum has a good writeup.

Hey guys I ended up breaking my fast this morning at around 8 1/2 days. I’ve felt kinda depressed though since breaking it. What do I do?

Not saying it's necessary... but if you have time... can you fast another 10-18 days or so?

First off, I have an event I'm going to this upcoming Thursday, and thanksgiving coming up, as well as doctor's appointments, and I feel like I reached a point where I was too tiered to even complete school work let alone the fact that I was constantly ready to throw up. Also, I have finals coming up, and then next term, I'm taking a much heavier class load. Over break I'm staying with my parents as well.

No Way In Hell. I think it would've been a miracle to achieve 5 more days, let alone 10-18. I think I could only do that supervised in a hospital. Considering that I'm trying to complete and architecture degree, and am not entirely separate from my parents who do not know how long I have been fasting, that is not happening for a LONG while. 8 days was incredibly exhausting. Anybody who thinks it gets better the longer you go is only fooling themselves. I felt like I was on the edge of hallucinating by about Saturday as well. Furthermore, I do feel like I got a decent amount of crap out of my system, and have been feeling better off this morning. I think I might do a shorter fast or two in January (5-7 days) but I am in no way, shape, or form able to do anything longer.

Look I'm willing to do a large number of fasts in the 5-10 day range strung out over a log period of time, because I feel like they are all moderately helpful and get SOME junk out of my system ( I definitely felt my liver getting rid of something those last couple of days). I am UNABLE to do a lunatic fast.

I will HAPPILY work out more.
I am PLANNING on continuing the Electrolyte protocol and adding in Himalayan Pink Salt this time.
I will HAPPILY add in more fruits and veggies into my diet (even though I can't stomach most vegetables)

I will NOT carry this fast out for another 10-15 days. I've ALREADY eaten quite a bit as well and am feeling fine, and have tons of energy. Those last few days were hell. I was in bed or lying down maybe 18 hours of the day. I hope to god I got some type of benefit in some way, shape, or form from them.

Electrolytes workouts and diet can help tons.

Sorry, I hope that wasn't too rude, but that last fast nearly drove me towards insanity. I felt absolutely awful, and was constantly hacking every single day. Plus the light-headedness was insane, and I could not think straight. On top of that, I could barely get out of bed. I did NOT feel better after day 7 like people said I would, I felt like I was Hallucinating. 20 days would probably kill me.

Didn't read it just skimmed I was on way to gym

Also I don't think I felt tons better after day 7 like maybe 10-15/1000 so better than for sure wanting to kill myself but not amazing. Pretty good compared to lying in bed rite before tho.
