Hi guys, got my hair test back (used Catherine as recommended on this forum). Looking for any input from you fine folks.

ARL 1.PNGARL 2.PNGARL 3.PNGARL 4.PNGARL 5.PNGARL 6.PNGARL 7.PNGARL 9.PNGARL 19.PNG

A few things to note

- The hair sample was taken late April and the test is a snapshot of the last three months according to ARL. I crashed after stopping finasteride in mid March. This means that around a third of the time this hair test pertains to is a time in which I'd never taken finasteride.

- During the middle of the three month period, I water fasted for ten days.

- This was followed by a slow re-feed, with a diet consisting of chicken broth, white rice, slow cooked free range chicken, spinach, kale, salmon, steak and pork. Pink Himalayan salt used very sparingly. No sugar foods. Chicken broth is from slow cooked chicken, carrots, onions, celery, garlic and bay leaves (organic used where possible).

My Thoughts

Whilst it's very interesting to view my own results like this, the "slow - mixed oxidation" verdict makes me think that all of the changes going on over the three months (which I've outlined above) have given a somewhat confused or scattered result. I'm hesitant to start the supplement program as it could be tailored for a state I'm not actually in. I'm thinking of continuing to stick to the clean foods I've been eating and adding a few foods I've not (could do with some input from you guys here). Then after a few months, do another test and then follow the supplementation program. Do tell me if you think this is misguided. I'm a bit apprehensive about starting the supps anyway after reading of some bad experiences from members here and I don't want to be going through that if the hair test isn't wholly representative of my state, post crash, post fast and post re-feed.

Is there anything I definitely should be doing with this test now in consideration? For instance, I have low sodium - should I be adding more salt to my meals? ARL states "A low sodium level does not necessarily mean one is consuming too little salt". I do not really add salt to much at all.

My worst symptom now is brain fog and pressure or swelling type feeling in head. It appears to be digestion related as usually comes on the strongest after my first meal of the day and is generally worse in the late morning/early afternoon though it can happen at any time.

Any thoughts, opinions, recommendations or insights are appreciated. Thank you.

Well your copper/zinc ratio looks pretty good (almost ideal) and I think this is usually one of the things that's well out for a lot of people, and hard to get in balance, so that's probably a positive!

Calcium is a bit high - what are your vitamin D levels like?

That’s good to hear with the copper and zinc!

Yes the calcium is the highest reading there. For vit d, I’m within range according to my latest blood test. I’ve been spending many days in the sunshine since then too so hopefully that’s ok.
