Did you crash on Finasteride or when getting off

did you measure you DHT, before and now?

before fin? no, this was 9 years ago, I had no idea of dht measurement. Last time I measured it last year it was high, above the normal range. I will measure again after the TEI cicle I'm doing.

Went downhill on Saw Palmetto, had other things going so was a slow decline. Got off, started feeling a little better, crashed hard.
I felt the same on saw. It was a slow decline. I actually took it again again after a couple months for its "labido boosting" claims. I declined even more stopped and a couple of days later i felt hyper sexual for a day and crashed hard.

I took propecia/finasteride for about 8 years with minor problems (slightly weaker erections, less morning wood, minor insomnia). Realised my hair stopped falling out so went off for 3 years, noticed hair started to fall out again so went back on for a month. I got symptoms straight away brain fog, severe insomnia, bad anxiety etc. Was sleep deprived at the time due to having a young baby so may of played a part in crashing.

Yeah, I took it for some prostate pain I was having at the time, and it was during the time my digestion took a hit and doctors wanted to remove my gallbladder to "fix my problems".

Had so much shit going on I wasn't paying attention to sexual health or how I felt - I figured the mental decline was due to painkillers and anesthesia wearing off. Really unfortunate timing. Had I noticed it earlier on, I probably could've dodged the whole issue altogether.

I switched to duta after a year without much time in between. Maybe that's why I never crashed. My symptoms just gradually became worse and worse. I experienced a crash years later when I tried stuff, such as DHEA, or NTD + HC.

actually anesthesia could cause PFS just on its own, It seems.

I crashed on FIN. I think I took it for couple of months and tested several dosages. But the first reason to lower the dosage was because I was getting the following symptoms slowly while using FIN.

- Nervous
- Anxiety
- Muscle loss
- Brain fog
- Watery semen
- Lower libido
- Hair DID stop falling out and thickened up

lowered libido on fin, everythitng else was perfect. Horrible crash in 2 months after coming off, right after the libido started coming back for a week.

Crashed ON Fin, seven years into taking it.

Brain fog
Detachment
Fatigue
Panic attacks
No control over emotions

Continued on Fin. Just thought it was adrenal fatigue. After 1.5 years it normalized. Weened off of oral finasteride and switched to topical for three years. No issues. October of 2017, noticed I was losing ground on my hair, started oral again. Took it for three weeks. Hypersexual. Started to notice brain fog and week erections. Quit cold turkey.... crashed

Sexual sides (no libido, erection issues,)
No emotion
Fatigue
Brain fog
Facial changes

what happened when you came off.
Ever since then my hair loss started falling again, the itchy scalp came back.
The other symptomps never fully recovered, my beard stopped growing and is very very thin right now. Feels like my masculine features slowed way down ever since using FIN. Another slow change that took probably months/years to notice is my facial changes, sunken cheeks, maybe jaw bone loss, all looks more feminine and less masculine. So basically FIN destroyed me slowly and I never fully recovered from that, all the symptoms kept showing up now and then. Also very hard to gain and maintain muscle ON and AFTER FIN.

I get very watery semen while I'm on finasteride, and feel worse over all. But after I quit, the watery seamen goes away, and I resturned to my usual baseline which always been terrible. (Bad erection, anxiety, etc...)

I took fin for around 6 years with zero noticeable issues. One night (after 6 years on fin and still on), seemingly out of the blue I experienced ED one night for the first time ever. Not sure if it was related to fin or not, but I remember reading that fin could cause ED issues so I stopped cold turkey. I didn't realize that PFS was even a thing when I quit.

After quitting I knew something was wrong within the first few days, although I didn't even know to link it to quitting fin at the time. Although I didn't have ED issues after quitting (guess that improved), my body just didn't feel right. At around the 2-3 week mark after quitting is when things went bad. All of a sudden I had digestive issues and insomnia- again around the 3 week mark. Then over the course of the next few months more and more issues piled up. After getting tests done, I believe many of my issues were triggered by high cortisol. I had tests show that cortisol was extremely high. I'm certain now what my body experienced after quitting was the feeling of high cortisol.

NOTE: I took fin for an acne condition and not for hair loss. I didn't have hair loss before fin, on fin, or after fin. I didn't really notice a difference related to my hair pre or post fin.

Took fin in January 2016 too September 2016. Didn't crash. But morning wood was fine and the semen quality was not the same. Started to see videos and Info's talking bad about this drug and quit.
Returned to use it in a regimen 3* week. In January of 2017 until June 2018 when I measured my estardiol and prolactin and they were outrageous. So stpuid I was. Stopped the medicine ( i didn't measured dht back then) and first sign of crash was gyno on both sides but more prominent in the right... Then all the shit came. No erections no libido, lost my vision voz of dry eyes, headache, no shortterm memory, no digestion nor stool, bruises in the skin that don't close or cure bad... Energy like a 80 year old human. All muscle and gym work is gone co literally going to supermarket is an adventure for me.
My dht I have measure it after the crash two times its in my log. One is in the middle range, other is in the lower part of range.
Fist nine months fin worked wonder if we talk about hair. Never had big problems on it ( except semen and morning hood gone and then I quit and came back). So yeah. Crashed after I quit and not on it

Took Fin for 1 month, 4x1mg/day for 4 days, then 1.5mg/week next three weeks. Got slight instance of ED and stopped cold turkey late 2018. Was fine then for two weeks, then ED returned and then crash.

Did not test DHT prior.

Ok. did you guys test your DHT levels before taking fin. or you just took fin randomly?
No crash on fin but just sides like sexual, brain fog, confusion, anxiety and crying for no reason.
Crashed 2 weeks after quitting fin and after crashing much more severe sexual sides came back, plus strong brain fog, extreme fatigue, severe insomnia, strong anxiety, running thoughts, tinnitus, confusion, disequilibrium, pain all over the body, even taste for food was messed up etc

Before using fin I tested my Testosterone and it was on the minimum low range but I was working fine.
Since started fin, my libido went up, even not went up, but just a different kind of pleasure, more strong and more aggressive.

Took approximately half of a pill. A few hours later I felt strange and decided I should not take this stuff. Never took another pill. Felt off for about 1 week.

Then back to normals or better than normal (increased gym energy pumps, strong , aggressive) For approximately 2 months. Only things I remember during these months some sharp head pain from time to time and waking up thirsty as fuck or waking up in a cold sweat or just sweat. Also uncharacteristically smoked weed once during these months; and did binge drank a lot, but that was normal for me at this time in my life.

Then massive crash in the middle of the night, woken up from sleep in some hyper vigilance brain chemistry. Sleep fucked, Gaba fucked, body fucked, all the typical PFS symptoms. was never the same after that night I crashed

-similar to me above @Aflac94, but weeks in.. probably affected day 1 or 2. but took 4months and a bit. quit and crashed again, stopped going outside.
--fasted and the rest. jacked and cut and more pissed off than ever at times. so im back, bitches. just a couple more sides, and im done.
--but it could have very easily ended very badly during crash 1 or crash 2 (when quitting and labotomy effects worsened as did inability to talk and move, and digest, and strength to stand up and all that stuff).
--fun times, thanks socialized health care - you stupid fucks. --weed -- 12 hr panic attack and depression then. crazy dreams.
--120 workouts the yr before and often 200-300 , to zero for one year, to back to well over 300 last yr. --very fit 2016, ripped in 2017 a bit, dead 2017, worse than dead 2017, strong again 2018 and 2019. --although unlike you I don't think I went back to baseline... probably there were several indiscernible baselines. but maybe 40% functioning went to like zero pretty fast. (Cognitive, executive, life functioning). Obviously not actually "zero" but pretty bad. --unable to shave, pack, shower, phone calls were very difficult, turning on computer was pretty hard. --no major baseline increase during crashing... before fasting. Maybe some improvements/ but not ones that were good enuff.
