Just wondering because when I google that symptom it seems all the stories are PSSD.

What do you mean by genital anaesthesia? You can not feel your penis or you can not feel hot/cold/touch?

the tip of the penis has no sensation when touching it, no sensitivity

Had it with both. And temperature insensitivity with SNRI for sure.
I think when searched, you see more stories of it happening with PSSD, bc way way more people are on antidepressants (antianxiety, or whatever reason they were prescribed SSRI's/SNRI's for), than finasteride.

@TubZy Yeah I seem to have had a return to extreme numbness unfortunately, last summer things were actually working pretty well and my only issue was libido but now things have got worse

Same here... some things that I've attributed to improved sensation is:

phosphatidylserine
R-Andro
iodine (improved blood flow and genital fullness)

So this really seems like something unique to our conditions, it doesn't look like a very common component of general sexual dysfunction (unless I'm missing something) could be a good symptom to cite when talking to doctors.

Oh 100%. There is a section in our lower spinal cord that is receptive to sexual neuro steroids that is deadened from fin.

That coupled with the pudenal nerve damaged and the gaba receptor damage and it’s a recipe for numbness and dysfunction

I've tried to find this article but haven't. Do you know where it might exist? I've heard that androgens protect them, but haven't seen an article saying that.

Something in the sacral nerves could be to blame. Especially s2-4 which innervate the pudenal nerve.

There was a day when I was on nystatin and numbness was totally gone. I had been on it for a while before.

I think it has to do with the muscles more than anything else. Becuase it can rapidly fluctuate.

You know, that's not the first time I heard Nystatin having that anti pfs effect. Hmmm

Ok gimme a few @Ghost , I'll get that link and the report of a Nystatin recovery. I one time asked pfs ppl if they experienced more fungal related issues, like a toe nail as I did... Never had prior to fin and has since cured thanks to T3. Leading me back to thyroid and body temp issues from fin.

@gbolduev please note I'm digging into body temp issues as a result of fin. Can you explain or correlate how fungal infections, possibly digestive, would be unseen and improved with a protocol that you've described? I'm thinking there's something there, not smart enough to explain property just yet...

@TubZy I've just been doing CDNuts protocol but by far my best time was last summer when I wasn't taking anything. So don't really know what's going on

How long have you been on this regimen? This is my own personal opinion, but herbs can dicey since they do so many things since they are loaded with different minerals and vitamins, they are hard to predict. Some respond to them greatly while others respond to a few and others respond to none (or feel worse). I was in the middle category, pine pollen I feel really weird on while others did OK on. So I basically stopped messing with herbs in general now or just one at a time if I was going to use it.

So if you felt better not taking herbs than don't take them IMO because there is something in one of them or all of them that is making you worse. If you felt better taking nothing, something in herbs are pushing out of balance again. I would say drop it and start higher up the chain and start simple maybe zinc finger or electrolytes then use process of elimination to fine tune it.

@gbolduev said it right, a few of those herbs can be great, but since you are cycling them in a huge rotation the other 19+ or so can be making you feel worse so it is hard to tell exactly how you are doing. Perfect example is licorice root.

Thanks @TubZy you're right, I didn't want to admit it cause I spent a lot of cash on the herbs but I guess it's time to start another protocol. I actually lost the sensitivity before CDNuts protocol but haven't seen any results for a month, but even so balancing looks so promising that I'm going to jump on board. Other herbs like MSM powder have seen really good results on the PSSD forum so if I do herbs now it'll be a proper trial.

I mean if you felt better while not on the herbs and you been on for over a month now and no change (or potentially worse), can't really argue with that. Although, some people may argue that it takes up to 6 months to a year to respond, although those people are usually the ones who respond somewhat positively within the first month.

I would say do what you feel is best. For me personally, you know why I don't really use herbs that much anymore.

So I just shifted protocols after reading what you said. I'm currently taking Betaine HCL Amino Acids and some Enzymes. Looking to get the electrolytes from foods. Feel like my brain fog has already dissipated a lot even though no improvement on the sexual or emotional fronts, the brain fog has been so frustrating for me recently so this is a really great improvement.
