Dopamine insensitivity - Sexual dysfunction - Dopamine antagonists

I'm really starting to think that dopamine underlies much of the sexual side effects we feel. Particularly with Accutane induced sexual dysfunction. Also possible with Fin as its been shown to damage the nucleus accumbens I think its possible that our dopamine receptors have been down regulated or made insensitive to the action of dopamine. That or we have low dopamine. Since taking Accutane, I can no longer enjoy smoking weed, I also don't feel like I get the same effect of dopaminergic drugs such as cocaine as my peers (apologies if its inappropriate), additionally having taken steroids and increasing my testosterone levels significantly, I felt no difference in my mentally. My change in sex drive, drive, aggression, ego, dominance etc. Under normal conditions, these effects are largely due to the increased dopamine activity caused by the increase in testosterone.

Thus if this is the case, I've been thinking how we could re-sensitise our dopamine systems. I know its risky but has anyone tried taking a dopamine antagonist? I am guessing that by taking an antagonist, it would increase dopamine receptor expression and make the dopamine system more responsive once the antagonist had been stopped.

Has anyone tried this?

Said this in the other thread but I'll put it here as well - I tried cabergoline (dopamine agonist) but it just wiped out refractory period. Didn't do anything else for me.

Also, dopamine sensitivity isn't just about the receptors becoming more/less sensitised by their agonism/antagonism. Dopamine release and receptor sensitivity will likely be regulated by a ton of other hormones including androgens so it is likely a downstream effect of whatever the underlying problem is.

yeah interestingly, I think there are links between dopamine release and steroids such as testosterone but sometimes the dopamine release only occurs if estrogen is present etc. so its possible that if our problems really are related to progesterone sensitivity, this may have altered our estrogen sensitivity and as such. When you take steroids, you don't get strong effects from them. We just need to figure out which protocol to follow, given that accutane gives us high progesterone

The are different kinda of dopamine receptors is a complex, they only time I feel 100% myself without brain fog is nornally the day after I took cocaine. Staying awake makes the brain to create mire dopamine.... but the cocaine also gives me something. Its incredible how I can feel normal just after that.
