Dutasteride

On Finasteride right now, I have had some sides and am wondering whether to taper or what to do. worried about PFS. I was thinking of switching to dutasteride as maybe that would somehow be safer.

Can someone help me understand the relationship between Dutasteride and Finasteride when it comes to "PFS?" I do not see any reports on a "post-dutasteride" syndrome... I wonder why this is, and whether or not dutasteride may for some reason be safer to switch to before going off in order to avoid PFS. @Helen , do you have any thoughts about Dutasteride's effects? Is it the same as Finasteride but worse?

Many people suffering from PFS on Propecia Help took dutasteride. I wouldn't let the naming of the syndrome lead you astray.

Yep as @bruschi11 mentioned dut kicked my ass.. it's much stronger than fin. Plus it blocks type 1 5ar in brain tissue.. and 2x stronger than fin with type 2 5ar

I never had an issue with fin.. but the reason u don't hear about it as much is simply a numbers game.. most guys balding seeking help go on fin.. Avodart is mostly used for enlarged prostate in OLDER men.. if a 60+ man starts complaining that his dick went limp the drs just shrug it off to "age" or his prostate issue.. so it doesn't get near the publicity

Yea, it's easier to just use the "common" term.. it's bad enough most people don't have a clue on that either
