It may mean just what it says... "If you take potassium chloride alone, your scalp will be prickly without all other supps.." ?
You need to take all other advised supps and not KCl alone.

@HerrFisch I think he may be referring to the DHT scalp itch returning. For PFS's who aren't bothered about hair loss this is seen as a good sign.

Or I could just be talking bullshit lol

I think it's either one or the other. The "mpb-itch" or just a prickly itch. I'm leaning towards the mpb one @Chapman.
I may be very wrong...

@Canari @Chapman

I just wanted to understand why.
High histamine because of lower copper, MAO, etc.

I as well cant really connect higher dht to potassium intake.

I just know that 3 years before I got to any problems I have now, I had really sensitive and itchy skin.
Maybe it was the start of getting copper toxic.
I could not stand wearing anything else than cotton.

Our bodies start to react and show some signs much before we worry! But of course doctors laugh at the small things and say "come back when it is worse"!

How much liquid do you need for MgCl₂ (magnesium chloride hexahydrate)?
I'm using 50mg/~500 ml of water.

I instinctively measure all liquids in shots. It's hard to drink liters of this stuff. Tastes not good.
KCl and NaCl are completely soluble in water. I could use like 200ml or 250ml for them.

Edit: Mine is this https://www.amazon.ca/Magnesium-Chl...r=8-1-spons&keywords=magnesium+chloride&psc=1
-It says:
"Mix 33g (5 full tsp) with 1 liter of boiled, cool water. Drink 50-100ml solution per day. Store closed in dark place."

@MNK99 My tub says 33g/L, but then it says to only drink 100mL of that per day

Mine too @raven.
We may have the same one... I was starting on a really low dose coming out of my refeed. Other things upset my digestion.

@MNK99 yep same one, do you take it with meals?

Rite after meals. Like mins after.
Edit: Wait a minute @raven Are you supposed to boil a liter of water and mix 33g of it in there, and then drink 1/10 per day? (or whatever proper individual dosing there is).
-I'll stop guessing and just skip out on whatever's upsetting me right now and wait on the hair test.... And just hope the ella sticks, I think it will.
-I fear my hair test may tell me something that I may already know but don't know for sure.
-No betaine HCL and no gelatin for me --- only diet (spinach + protein) and the 3 chloride salts. Possibly wobenzyme or none of that yet either --final word for now.

I've decided to try ammonium chloride and lysine hcl ..instead of the betaine hcl. Magnesium chloride makes me feel pretty bad, should I expect the same from the lysine and ammonium? Since they also lower sodium?

Does the bethaine hcl make the cortisol lower?
I dropped it since 3 days and I feel sooo tired and fatigued.
could it be that?

Could it be tht you just digest a little less good? This is a cause of being tired i guess! Maybe keep an intermediate and keep some HCl?
I do not understand what is the betaine part actually, and if this is the only form of hcl that is good for digestion!

We do not have a thread to speak ONLY of the betaine and hcl and acids for digestion ?
That would be useful to concentrate this topic in one thread... the ultimate about it!

Need advise to what do next step: @TubZy @gbolduev
I honestly felt great on the bethaine hcl and the protocol, bethaine hcl didnt bother me at all, I felt foods got absorbed way better and that is probablythe reason I have seen improvements.
These last days I felt a kind of reflux coming up my throw, and Tubzy suggested me to reduce the bethaine hcl, as I did.
But I was doing good, so I don't know if I should keep going with the bethaine hcl or drop, being 1 month I am using it, I dont know if keeping going using longer can cause any damage..??

Didn’t @TubZy tell you to reduce it?

He didn’t tell you to drop it am I right? And you dropped it.

I decided to reduce mine a bit for the time being. Instead of 2 tabs per meal, going to 1. Going to be doing zero per day for a couple weeks at least when I begin my RU/prog cycle on Monday.

I was already running the minimum dose, 1 pill and still having reflux, so I dropped for 3 days...tht's the reason of my drop.

@wuf probably a good sign it means you have enough stomach acid

Reflux is almost always due to not enough stomach acid. The lack of acid results in foods, especially carbs, not being properly broken down and producing a lot of gas, and this causes the acid reflux.

I was getting really bad reflux after meals like pasta or rice, so it makes sense. Much better after cutting right back on the carbs and taking HCI.

Taking probiotics apparently helps reflux too as it kills the bad bacteria which has been able to take hold due to there not being enough stomach acid so high pH gut.

Try one or the other, not both at the same time. They should not have the same effects as MgCl2, their effects will be more similar to betaine HCl..
