And also wanted to note I get a complete different response from minerals absorbing topically like in a bath since I bypass digestion comapred to orally with PFS. And I took these same minerals orally pre fin and responded normally too it but with PFS it is different. So gut is definitely and issue here.

@Goose12 When I took bacilus laterosporus, I thought I was going to die. could not tolerate that thing at all. May be it was doing something, but I wasn't ready to find out ))

they say its a good supp for candida and sibo. but I did not take it for long. It dried me out crazy I felt so dry skin on it. and super dry hair.. Did you have that?

I get this from taking TUDCA - everything goes super dry, and my hair feels like straw and starts coming out really easily. I found taking SAM-e alongside it stops that however - my hair then goes really soft despite the same dose of TUDCA.

Recently I've tried taking MSM instead of the SAM-e to see if that has the same effect, but for some reason it gives me terrible anxiety now (took me a little while to be sure its the MSM, but 100% is). Not sure why this is - gets pretty confusing when the same supplements have different effects over time.

All the liver discussion always makes me think back to this. Lecithin is apparently really good for fatty liver as it's high in choline and inositol

The key to getting rid of accutane based side effects is to cure both bile flow issues and successfully remove excess Accutane out of the body. These two things both have to happen before your side effects can be stopped. In today's video, Nature Crazy goes over our top 8 steps to reversing Accutane based side effects.

1. Reduce the load of the crammed bile caused by cholastasis by supplementing with bile acids, ox bile, granulated lecithin, and/or Chinese bitters. We advise you to use a reputable Brand, which will aid your body in using fat-soluble vitamins again.

2. The 2nd suggestion is to supplement with Tauroursodeoxycholic acid (TUDCA) on a regular basis. This helps to regenerate the cells in the liver and also helps save your liver from toxicity.

3. Eating a diet consisting of natural and clean foods – In order not to add to the burden of an already overworked liver incapable of expelling toxins.

4. Consider using MSM supplement every day; It helps prevent skin hardening (calcification), which is a serious side effect of hypervitaminosis A and it can help you increase the passability of nutrients into your cells which will help in your body’s natural detoxification process.

5. Try to add in Coconut oil to your daily routine as well - Absorption of this occurs without bile or pancreatic enzymes which helps it bind together fat and fat soluble toxins for removal in the bile.

6. Calcium D-Glucarate, is a supplement that should be taken two times a day because it can impede Accutane's destructive recycling process, thus giving your body more time to rid itself of the Accutane.

7. To prevent side effects from worsening, you'd want to keep away from retina A, Vitamin A, and other skin creams containing retinol at least until your bile flow is well taken care of. Most times people react to these types of vitamin A because they already have more retinoic acid in the body than they need in the form of Accutane. Instead wait a couple of months and then consider slowly building up using a liquid form of vitamin A which will still be easily digested by the body. Take it little by little until your body gets used to it.

8. Supplementing with vitamin C every night will help alkalize the body and improve the body’s full antioxidant capacity

In my case liver enzymes and bilirubin are always fine, I've had numerous ultrasounds and CT scans on the liver and these always come back fine too, however I definitely have issues with bilary cholestasis and most likely fatty liver. I remember Mario Vitali said often the liver issues with PFS/CFS/PAS etc only show up with a fibro-scan.

Maybe we can put together a protocol for fatty liver and see if people improve on it

Curing a fatty liver desease is pretty much just going on a specific, healthy diet. I think it can take just as long as TEI.

Yeah no clue how long it would take to fix it. Theres this diet they use, something called the Newcastle diet which is like 500 calories a day from mostly protein i believe and it cures diabetes type 2 because it unclogs the liver and pancreas i think.

Probably depends on how bad the liver is also. Pancreas play a big role in it too when it comes to insulin resistance and diabetes.

Actually i think @mattyb mentioned the newcastle diet thing somewhere

Type 2 diabetes reversed by losing fat from pancreas Removing fat from pancreas normalizes blood glucose and insulin levels in diabetics.

They lost 13% of their bodyweight. I wonder how this would work for lean people. If i lose 13% of my bodyweight i'll be pretty underweight

Edit: quote at the end of the study says "What is interesting is that regardless of your present body weight and how you lose weight, the critical factor in reversing your Type 2 diabetes is losing that 1 gram of fat from the pancreas."

I come across conflicting things though, as some sources claim healthy fats to be a your prime focus. Other diets aimed at fatty liver have little to no fat.

I think carbs play a bigger role in it. As long as you eat carbs your body wont burn fat theres no need.

I remember @Helen mentioned this also. When you eat sugar, you store fat (PUFA). When you eat fat, your body defattens organs (it burns the fat). This might have been on the Ray Peat forum, i'll try and find it.

This is the quote i was talking about:

"when you eat sugar sugar is not stored , when you eat fats, fats are not stored. Do you understand this concept or not.

That is why on ketogenic diet all your organs get defatted"

His writings on the Ray Peat forum are very interesting.

When you go low fat doesn't your body use your own fat for the fat soluble vitamins? I am leaner now on low fat than before when I was eating high fat. Could be just calories of course.

There is this thing fat spill over and is when your calories in are more than calories out when the certain capacity in the liver is already reached. Then the extra energy is being stored as fat deposits. That same fat is supposed to be excreted from the liver and if not happening in the desired rate in some people the result will be the same-excess fat in the liver.

Did anything else change besides your diet?

you have enlarged liver and elevated enzymes and you are looking for what is wrong with you? why you have chronic fatigue?

as I said all people with PFS and POIS were found to have mallasezia restricta. it is fungus which eats OIL>

since oil is not being absorbed in the intestine. this fungus then kills benefical bacteria in the colon and you get deficient in butyric acid. which modulates tons of stuff in the body, butyric acid is antifungal itself. it is HDAC, and gaba agonist.

that is why some people got better on GHB.

I created electrolytes SIBO protocol in 2012. its goal was to support all digestion. get rid of sibo, and support liver and get rid of fatty liver

this is why without getting rid of liver problems, drinking gut drinks does not hold., it will just come back . very fast, since malassezia grows in days. if there is oil.

Where can i find that SIBO protocol?

Been thinking, but how do others recover without treating their liver? Things such as Tribulus for instance have cured a few in the community.

Tribulus is really good for the liver.

I think the fast cures like two weeks to a month those people had something that wasn't liver related keeping them from getting cure. A fork like Helen describes.
