Iniesta/Xavi led Spain to big success. Messi still dont have this impact on Argentina. To be a great player you need to win/or play cosmic fotball with your national team.

Messi doesn’t have the same vibe to him like iniesta and xavi did. They are more leaders and focused more on the team instead of themselves. I think messi cant handle the pressure in Argentina national team, he is getting more selfish/cocky aswell on the field
