I thought it would be interesting to create a list with the people on this forum consisting of simple things you can do to improve your health. The things i can currently think of are:

- Walking or riding a bike instead of driving to places
- Exercise 3 times a week or more, lifting weights + cardio
- Eating enough protein (1gr/lean pound of bodyweight). What is the ideal amount of protein/day?
- Drop all vitamin and mineral supplements
- Lower carb consumption on days where you are less active, possible lower carb consumption every day if it makes you feel good
- lose weight if needed
- lower caffeine consumption

What would you add?

I like this as an idea for a thread.

I agree with most of what Nina said, to some degree I disagree with with "drop all vitamin and mineral supplements". So many people in the west have such shit nutrition and are deficient in so many nutrients, taking a B-vitamin complex and a light multivitamin could be beneficial to some. Also some Omega-3 wouldn't hurt most people either.

- Eating a sufficient amount of leafy greens and vegetables in your diet, almost goes without saying but most people in the west don't eat nearly enough vegetables.
- Lower sugar consumption
- Stay HYDRATED
- Not too much Sodium vs. other electrolytes, most of us have way too much salt
- Don't overdo it on masturbating/porn

- Meditation *10 minutes a day , and building time up slowly (if you're new to it, begin with Mindfullness or Vipassana Meditation. Just as we once neglected or body by putting inside us things that could hurt but we could not see, we should also not neglect other parts of our existance that are not visible, our breath and mind.).

- Be more social.

- Journaling (could be a diary or some journaling of how went your week. Best to set your goals and write down your thoughts, realizing that we are changing perpertually, our views, values and body.).

-Doing all these, except icing testicles (have at times).
-And zero supps... not there yet. Was for a couple mo earlier, but for now.
-Also not mewing, I don't think. I forget what that is. Is it just nasal breathing? Something with tilting head up also?
-I chew a lot tho.
-Hydration is key.................... something my brother must have said to me 1000x by now.
-Working on nofap. 7d recent hi.. Long term 45 to 47 (I think 45 or 46, but it's hard to rem). NEED 365 and more. Pretty hard. 17 while fin was messing me up too.
-Spinach 99% of meals, sometimes run out, but kale... sometimes just arugula (probably useless, it tastes good) if I'm out of all and it's late. Sometimes I can't, bc, at someone's house and they get suspicious I never eat (as far as they can see!), so I eat to avoid explaining.
-Exercised 18 d straight and 14 5-7 d a week... less now, due to recovery and cutting.
-TEI soon.
-Not doing sauna and stuff, but if it's 25 or 30, I probably feel 40 and workout all black in a hot gym, like an idiot.

V much agree with doing what @ballheadbuddha says as well though need to work on medn myself. Journalling is greatly helpful for me.
That's very well said.

sorry for the late reply @MNK99, but I should definitely thank you for inspiring me to "log" my inner self again. Journaling is such a good tension release tool, some thoughts have the capability of rotting oneself inside out, claiming for attention, and to put it somewhere off of you, on a diary, lyrics or a poem is a very effective way of getting through it.

I think that life will only be accepted insofar as death is accepted, so that you do not waste time thinking about a day that does not dusk, it will happen no matter what.
It may seem contradictory, but the more you cling to life, the less you will have it.
A short excerpt from one of my favorite poems, by a Brazilian author named João Cabral de Melo Neto, exemplifies this questioning whether or not there is a reason to cling to life. ("Severino" is the name of the main character but it is also a game of meaning with the word severe. "Severino" = one who has a "severe" life. ) Severino is the figure of a person with roots in a world unconfigured for life , the book is set in a region of Brazil in which people have a real risk of dying of thirst and / or hunger.) In this stretch, tired of suffering all the "divine designations" and the misery that surrounded him, Severino questions a fisherman (who is also, a "Severino".) Why he should continue living.

"Traveller Severino,
Let me tell you now
I don’t know the answer
To your question.
Whether you should
Throw your life
From the bridge.
But I don’t know this answer.
If you want me to tell you,
You can’t defend
Life with just words,
More so when it’s what
You can see, so hard.

But if I told you
I didn’t know the answer,
Life itself told you
(With it’s own presence).
And there’s no better answer
Than to see life
Unravel its thread,
Which is also called life,
See the factory
Life itself stubbornly makes.
See it sprout and grow, like now,
Explode into a new life,
Even when the explosion,
Like that which too place,
Is so small.
Even when it’s so puny,
Even when it’s that of
A severe, Severino life."

- Cabral de Melo Neto, João - Morte e vida Severina."

THank's a lot man . Will read. I am glad I helped motivate you. YEAH MAN. EDITED posts/ didn't save somehow (sometimes). I am sure I wrote ART is a great form of therapy. Maybe that was a different thread. JAY-Z wrote songs bc of that, he admitted later in his career.

Nice poem man, I will check João Cabral de Melo Neto out.

I came across this word Severino before.... Wow interesting. Yes, I will take this to heart. I feel maybe it's bc of neuro issues, but I'm so much better with words (writing) then in person sometimes. Like no one can tell there's most issues... but in real life, I need to run away and from a lot of things. Always running towards what? I don't know.
