Has anyone tried getting back on FIN for PFS?

The title is self-explanatory, but I was just wondering if anyone has actually tried getting back on FIN for some time like 2-4 weeks? Then slowly tapering off of it in hopes that the brain will adjust accordingly as you quit.

Background: Like many suffers of PFS, Initially when I got on FIN for hair-loss and decided to quit after 1 month due to sides quickly recovered to a pre-fin state after just a few days. But as the DHT began to come back so did the shedding and scalp sensitivity, so I kind of freaked out and decided to get back on fin a few weeks later, but this time for about 3-4 months before ultimately deciding to quit cold turkey. But here I am around 6 months later after quitting with PFS sides including very-low libido and brain-fog.

Yea that idea has been floated around because it'll drop DHT levels in hopes to resensitize receptors.

Your pattern fits a common mold of ppl trying fin, stopping & recovering... Only to try again, perhaps at a lower dose, suffer the same sides... Stop fin and never recover.

I did find another posting elsewhere where the user felt better after 10 days on fin again... they said it didn't stick.

I certainly can't suggest it despite another similar suggestion from a SARM distributor who said to go back on at a lower dose... But if you do try, please share your results and journal everything.

I'm fairly certain the half life is misleading so s single .25mg on a Sunday will affect DHT for 7 days or longer.

Does anyone on here have the brave to go back on FIN?

I say don't fuck with fin unless you have post accutaine.
The odds are weighed way too heavily out of your favor on this one

Interestingly with PSSD some people had positive results with low dose SSRI. One recovered, while some others had benefits (including myself). The theory is that it had to do with altering progesterone, in hope to resensitize it.

There was also the recovery/story of a guy who used high dose zinc (100mg+) in cycles (I believe it was EOD or E3D) and cured PFS. Theory being high dose zinc inhibits 5AR/DHT thus lowering it and desensitizing receptors again, but on the days you are not taking high dose zinc the body up regulates DHT. It is very similar to the strategy of going back on fin.

Reminds me a bit with the VAP 2 protocol, which alternated Zinc and creatine

Not sure if it really helped alot of people in the end.

Actually it was almost exactly that except it wasn't that link, I think the guy may have copy/pasted it from there. Interesting stuff, it actually sounds kind of similar to what gbolduev said to an extent.

Yeah, I feel like not that many guys have tried it in fear of loosing any of the potential progress gained healing thus far. Definitely a risky move, may give it a try though If I feel hopeless and see no progress in the next few coming months. But i'll let ya'll know if I do and report everything.

I also wanted to get Gbol thoughts on cycling high dose zinc too, basically taking a pretty big dose of zinc will increase progesterone via 3B HSD, but if you do that once every 3 days even EOD, when the zinc is out of your system and prog levels drop back down again, will that help re-sensitize the receptors again?

agreed.

I went back on saw P after getting PFS from Saw P and it resulted in such severe insomnia that I stayed up for six weeks and such severe digestive issues that I couldn't eat solid food with out feeling like I was going to throw up for weeks. I did not have a bowel movement for two weeks and had a cat scan that showed I was severely contispated. I felt like I was dying.

I say a big no

This is something interesting, anyone has any idea about it?

I tried it years ago. It didnt make me better. I already acquired PFS about 12 months after using the drug. My first initial run with propecia was about 7 years. was drinking and partying so much that i stopped taking it for a few months. got back on it, and no difference.

I agree with Joekool, it likely does not have the halflife we are told it does.
I highly doubt agent orange or thalidomide do either.
That's ballzy of you guys 5alpha and K8668B. I've considered getting back on this shyt, but that's part of my impulsive nature. A good nature when controlled and used to create. Bad, in things like this. If duta, accutane, or fin were shown to work for several others, I think I'd do it at some point. I'll try a lot of other things first.

Was going through my old links and found it.

It is that cheeseburger guy who tried it that respond to thread there.

Interesting, I never read that response. But somewhere else I think someone suggested the idea. I haven't messed around with getting back on fin, I almost wish I did right when I crashed. But now I just feel like I have more to lose. I just want to feel some libido again :(

I think there's definitely potential to get gains, but just as much potential to do damage. after all, licorice root is a very mild 5ari and that has helped me tremendously in low doses, after initially making me feel worse. I think the same thing, in theory, could be done with SUPER low doses of fin or any other 5ari. I think licorice worked just because it was mild enough for my body to react to it, but not enough to crash it.

I know that when I started taking SP, I was clearly the horniest I had ever been in my life. literally considered hitting up escorts because I couldn't help myself, which just seems ridiculous to me now.

I think more guys should hop on licorice root, maybe because it regulates cortisol, but also because it could've potentially reupregulated my "dead" receptors. It wasn't long after trialing lic root that my hairloss continued, my smell came back and I was lifted from the worst of it. haven't crashed since doing my last cycle of it, but when you're on it, you feel it weakening you. it's all about finding that balance.

it's a gamble but I'd say it's worth a shot with the right care.

Also, let me know if you interested in this. We only need a few more. The protocol is super easy and cheap, there already has been positive logs so far with it. We are going to test if with some of us and need a few more people. It should help improve your symptoms.
