Have you had a hair test?Member
Hello guys, I'm new in the forum and I'm looking for all the help I can...I stop using finasteride for almost one month. I took it in January of 2016 , stopped in September, came back to finasteride on march of 2017 but taking the pill 3 times a week... And how regretted I am.I stopped because my boobs start to come up, and after that all kinds of ***t are happening: libido is gone, I just want to piss, everything that I eat gives me nausea and my intestine hurts ( I think I've got allergic to gluten and milk) , I can't see straight of my left eye, and feel pain all over my body.... Sounds very tragic but its true my friends. My hormonal exams are OK ( testosterone higher then the average, and dht normal) which makes me wonder if my brain is not damaged. Although my blood sugar is 101( limite is 100) and my cholesterol is 140 ( limit is 200). My prolactin is a little bit higher 16 ( limit is 20) and the estrogen I did it one month ago was 115( range was 175)Tomorrow I will do a magnetic resonance to my brain to see if I have any brain damage.About supplements I'm taking maca, tribulus, vit D3, 5htp, Korean ginseng and omega 3. Also mucuna pruriens to try to drop prolactin levels, and taurine.my urologist prescribed me tamoxifen to see if my boobs reduce a little. Also gave me cialis ( a kind of Viagra) to revitalize my erections. For my boobs, I'm taking tamoxifen.Do you have any idea what can I do now? I heard about dhea, progesterone etc. I wanted to know your opinion and more ideas of what can I do... I feel like I am fading away, my energy is out, I'm loosing weight and I can't workout anymore.I'm from Portugal so I apologize for any English mistakes.I'm going through the worst nightmare of my life, please help me here folks I'm bagging. Thank you so much
See if you can get a hair test from trace elements in your country.
From being here and researching alternative health protocols, diets, etc for about 10 years now... All I can say is this: the human body is really really complex. We don't know everything. The best thing i've found so far, is that a balanced hair test seems to correlate with good health. I saw that my body wasn't balanced on the hair test, but over the last 9 months i've been experimenting on ways to balance it. First i tried mineral supplements, they made me feel good in some ways bad in others. Then I started a nutritional focus (food only) to correct it. All I did really, was put a diet that I could consume every day into cronometer.com and make sure all my RDIs are there for vitamins, minerals, and proteins (excepting fat soluble vitamins). I also just used some common sense. I saw electrolytes were recommended here, and since I play sport and they're recommended for athletes... now I take an electrolyte supplement in my water. (and a low sodium one, since I retain sodium on my hair test AND on a gene test which brings down my magnesium).
My health has improved a lot. When I feel tired at 3pm or whatever, I take the electrolyte supplement. I think maybe its the chloride which helps me digest or speeds up my energy? Anyway, it gives me energy back and it seems sustainable long term. Works better than coffee (not that i have coffee, i don't like the taste or smell lol - i used to just get tired and lazy). Outside of that my health has been good, my stress tolerance vastly increased etc. It seems to be beneficial.
Maybe hair testing won't miraculously cure all your problems, but slowly implementing something and chipping away at improving it, i'm sure will give you a sense of hope and forward movement, as well as actually improve your health outcomes and make the suffering of life a bit more bearable.
I just want to advocate this again: improvements that stick are best slow and steady. You can control outcomes better this way, but you need to be sensitively attuned to changes. I think regular hair testing (every 6 months or so at least for the first few years) and checking your nutrient intakes on cronometer is the best thing for this. Taking random supplements because professor brosef recommended them on some ranndom forum online is probably a waste of money / dangerous
