I will order some. Will try it but only if it will be added to the protocol with a how-to.

EDIT: Does anyone have an international (Europe) source?

EDIT2: Nevermind they ship international.

Where did you get it from and what were you trying to treat? Also when you say LDN, you a meaning 1mg per night right?
I'm pretty sure I got it from alldaychemist. At the time, I could only find it in 50mg tablets, so that's what I got. There's a video on youtube where they show you how to dissolve the tablet in water, then take a certain amount of the solution. The final dose ended up being either 1 or 2 mg.

Everything I try is for one purpose: to try to reverse the complete metabolic derangement that happened to me a few months after starting the Peat diet. I must have read something somewhere that made me think LDN was worth a try.

Thanks for the clarification

A while ago like many months, when I used it, I did before bed, but not right before bed like an hour or two prior to going to sleep. I didn't notice any issues falling asleep, however I may or may not felt kinda drowsy the next day, I honestly don't remember 100% since I took it for such a short time and was on a bunch of shit back then

coolio! i think the general consensus i found was its better to dose at night since its when we naturally produce endorphins or something. ill probs stick to a few hours before bedtime too.

yes, @health has just started his as well. But the high dose (25mg-50mg) is what interests me now given that log.

I ordered the research one which is 5mg/1ml (total of 30ml) which is like nothing so I can't really try it high dose unless I order internationally

i cant find the log. can you link me to it?

The one that was referenced and posted from someone else on this forum, posted this one PSSD Collaborative Research • View topic - Varicocele-guy introduction and a possible breakthrough - Normal dose naltrexone

"End of december 2017 - I've read on peaktestosterone.com about naltrexone, that it helps with "idiopathic erectile dysfunction". There
was also a link to medical articles about naltrexone and ED stating that naltrexone in normal doses (25 - 50 mg, not LDN) restores
morning erections. Since I had some naltrexone left I decided to give it a try. To my surprise on the second day of taking naltrexone
(25 mg in the morning an hour before breakfast)I HAD A FIRST MORNING ERECTION IN 2 AND A HALF MONTHS. So I decided to continue taking
naltrexone. With it I was able to get a rock-solid erection with some fantasizing. I also had no urges to watch porn."

But there are others on peak testosterone as well.

Naltrexone: Testosterone and Erectile Dysfunction
Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) Brought Back Morning Erections

it seems they dosed in the morning. i wonder how it would have faired at night. usually low dose only works at night and does nothing in the morning. could be possible high dose was needed to get any results in morning doses?

Yeah that is my guess. Since the dose is so high it probably won't matter when you take it, should still get some effect.

Also, regarding the other benefits it looks like mainly from suppressing inflammatory factors like TNF-alpha which is involved in hair loss, skin and autoimmune issues etc.

The use of low-dose naltrexone (LDN) as a novel anti-inflammatory treatment for chronic pain

i bet you those inflammatory factors help keep us in PFS state. i dont know much about them, but i wouldnt doubt it. have you read anything regarding 5 alpha reductase and progesterone reactions to inflamation in the body?

im sure this stuff would fair well in any protocol thats currently underway. plus seems like a healthy way to increase LH.

Here is a VERY good paper demonstrating what naltrexone actually does. I uploaded the OP with the link as well. REBOUND = SNAP BACK

Below includes a short excerpt of the paper. I will also include the link for the full paper here.

The mechanism of action of naltrexone, in autoimmune diseases and cancer, is still being researched, but there are theories as to the mechanism of action that both explain why LDN works on both autoimmune diseases and cancers, as well as inflammatory disease. According to Mark J. Donahue’s paper on LDN that uses interviews from Dr. David, Gluck, Dr. Jacquelyn McCandless, Dr. Jarred Younger, and Dr. Ian Zagon: “LDN is an opioid antagonist that not only blocks the reception of opiates, but also the body’s own endogenous opioids – endorphins. However, because LDN is administered in such a 'low dose' it is believed that LDN only briefly (for 3-4 hours) obstructs the effects of endorphins. Sensing an endorphin deficit, the hypothalamus signals for increased production of endorphins in what is called 'the rebound effect.'

The rebound effect results in three things happening:

  • Opioid receptor production increases in order to try and capture more endorphins.
  • Opioid receptor sensitivity increases, also in order to try and capture more endorphins.
  • Production of endorphins is increased in order to compensate for the perceived shortage.

Once LDN is metabolized by the liver and eliminated from the body (after 3-4 hours), the elevated levels of endorphins produced, as a result of the rebound effect, can now interact and bind with the more sensitive and more plentiful opioid receptors. These opioid receptors, are found throughout the body, including virtually every cell of the body’s immune system. The elevated levels of endorphins will usually last around 18-20 hours. During this time the elevated endorphins act by up-regulating vital elements of the body’s immune cells. By doing so clinical trials has been shown that elevated levels of

  • Down regulating inflammatory cytokines
  • Reducing inflammation and oxidative stress
  • Facilitating tissue repair and wound healing
  • Restoring T-helper/CD4 levels
  • Restoring the balance between Th1 & Th2 lymphocytes
  • Increasing cytotoxic T cells and natural killer (NK) cells
  • Regulating cell growth & inhibiting tumor growth
  • Reducing excitotoxicity and microglial activation
  • Reducing apoptosis of the myelin-producing oligodendrocytes
  • Stimulating mucosal healing (lining of bowel)” 7
