I've decided to write a few posts in which I'll share some of the knowledge I've gained while researching PSSD.

Today, I’ll discuss HDAC2 expression and how it determines the characteristics of perceived reality. I believe this is valuable information; by piecing together what I share, you can gradually figure out what’s going on with you and how to fix it.
Histone deacetylase 2 influences several very important processes related to consciousness, including the glucocorticoid receptor, the estrogen receptor beta, and the glutamate autoreceptor mGlur2, which forms antagonistic heteromers with the 5-HT2A receptor. I call HDAC2 the “Minecraft deacetylase.” It transforms the real, default emotional world into Minecraft.
It is known that upregulation of a nuclear receptor to excessively high levels causes it to no longer be recognized by DNA via its zinc fingers. This results in a complete loss of signaling when upregulation is sufficiently strong. The receptor remains inactive. HDAC2 does this to GR; it is often observed (especially in some “autistic” individuals and those on risperidone) that HDAC2 overexpression literally increases GR to such an extent that it completely shuts down its expression. The disruption of the GR signal due to upregulation is one of the most common causes of unbearable anhedonia and emotional numbness. GR is a receptor that is cross-activated with the D2 receptor (and vice versa); it is responsible for most of the magical aspects associated with D2 activation, such as feelings of nostalgia, generating ideas, being inventive, and the world of dreams. Without it, everything essentially becomes “just a form.” Without GR, we’ll feel as if we’re on a high dose of haloperidol, because a deactivated GR causes D2 to no longer function as we once remembered it; we can no longer burst into tears.
Let’s take a closer look at what else HDAC2 does and what characteristic phenotype it induces.
Decreased ERβ activity. HDAC2 downregulates ERβ receptors so significantly (in contrast to GR) that they become essentially undetectable. ER beta receptors are primarily expressed in the claustrum alongside 5-HT2B receptors (which act synergistically), AR, 5HT2A, and 5HT1D receptors (which act similarly on this part of the brain), as well as the oppositely acting KOR and PR.
Er beta is the receptor of free will. It is responsible for body awareness and one’s “separateness” from other people. It completely suppresses all forms of OCD and psychotic thoughts such as “animals eating animals.” The beta-ER acts synergistically with the 5-HT2B receptor, with some involvement of the GABAB and adenosine A2A receptors. Essentially, this complex is responsible for all the effects of MDMA and its derivatives. It is thanks to the activation of the beta-ER via 5-HT2B agonism by MDMA that intrusive thoughts about trauma cease to enter consciousness. It also promotes the recognition of other people’s intentions by distinguishing between them, as well as feelings of warmth and love toward others. A lack of beta-receptors/5HT2B essentially causes a feeling of oneness (who’s been smoking sage?) and a lack of distinction between ourselves and other objects. People, plants, and animals all seem the same. Additionally, we lose the feeling of “warmth/trust” and the ability to express ourselves.
People with high 5HT2B/ER beta receptor levels have liberal views and often say: “Let everyone do as they please; it doesn’t concern me.”
People with low 5HT2B/ER beta will strictly moralize others as if they were their property; they’ll be conservative, very rigid, and lacking a sense of humor. When HDAC2 inactivates both ER beta and GR, it essentially turns us into lifeless robots with no sense of individuality. This mechanism is exacerbated by another mechanism/buffer that is removed by these deacetylases—mGlur2.
mGLUR2 is a semantic receptor—the second receptor (alongside GR and GABA receptors) most strongly involved in anhedonia and the experience of pleasure and the magic of life.
mGLUR2 literally enables us to read the semantic value of things in our environment, much like the previous receptors. The loss of mGLUR2 causes a feeling of “jamais vu” and a disconnect from external reality. This results in a strong sense of depersonalization and a feeling of living “in a fictional cage.” We do not perceive the circadian rhythm or temperature changes, and we do not respond to visual stimuli.
mGLUR2 is also strongly linked (along with GR) to visual memory. Its loss significantly reduces the ability to visualize things and can lead to aphantasia.
The mGLUR2 receptor must be suppressed to allow the super-perverse 5-HT2A to exert a stronger effect and enable control over people and the world. The world must become a joke.
5HT2A now acts as a buffer here, compensating for the loss of Er Beta and the sense of oneness. It allows us to eat meat without feeling guilty—rather, with the pleasure of being a “predatory macho and ruler.” So, at the same time, we feel a sense of oneness and a lack of individuality, but we’re aroused by this altered perception, thanks to which we can, for example, effectively rule the world and mock the naive sheep.
5HT2A, together with 5HT1D, are transactivated by DHT and mediate its primary effects on the psyche, which are opposite. 5HT1D directs libido in a completely different direction than 5HT2A.
What is the overall result of this?
This combination of dissociation caused by the loss of mGLur2 and the hyperactivation of 5-HT2A may well facilitate a highly arousing, perverse thought—to dominate a woman in bed and, with a completely dead, emotionless gaze, tell her: “There is no meaning or morality in this world; everything is relative.”
Nihilism, in general.
This reminds me of a movie starring Daniel Craig as James Bond. That movie is a perfect illustration of 5-HT2A activation and the fetish associated with that receptor.
If it weren't for 5-HT2A, pedophilia, exhibitionism, BDSM's and all other paraphilias wouldn't exist. SSRIs downregulate it along with 5-HT2B and 5-HT2C, effectively castrating people after just two weeks of use. They make people feel like victims of “5-HT2A predators.”
So, what is the general phenotype caused by HDAC2 hyperactivity?
-ontological nihilist
-he will be an atheist and believe in the theory of evolution. (especially if 5HT1A/ER-alpha is highly active). He will feel contempt at the thought of naive spiritual beliefs (unless PR/KOR steps in and causes him to become schizophrenic, who feels the pain of the antelope being eaten by a lion as if it were his own (a sense of oneness that results in death from malnutrition, because the person switches to a pranic diet so as not to harm other living beings, including plants).
-He will perceive his family members and the environment in which he lives as foreign, boring, and unreal, like a cardboard model.
-aphantasia, prozopragnosia are very possible.
- socially awkward; he won't get the hints and will take everything seriously (ER beta loss).
-unable to feeling all emotion: crying, sadness, nostalgia, social empathy and bonding, joy and trust.
- a loss of subjective awareness and filters. As a result, they will often express opinions that are out of step with local cultural norms and socially unacceptable without realizing it.
-the feeling that the world consists of limited forms and possibilities that may be exhausted in the future, and that no satisfying novelty will await her—she will die of boredom. That is her greatest fear.

-often an artist with a keen sense of aesthetics, creative, with an endless supply of ideas, and unafraid that they will ever run out.
-charismatic and socially manipulative. He has the ability to be a leader and influence people and their emotions. A natural-born performer.
- a vivid visual imagination and autobiographical memory.
-3D Vision, color are sap, black is deep with lot's of details. Possible, dark shadowy effect from low 5ht2a feeling.
-A strong sense of right and wrong. A sense of the need to be the best person possible and the motivation to do so.
-He has his own unique style of dressing, which may seem strange but expresses his soul and current emotional state.
-Sexually traditional, heterosexual; may be homophobic and hostile toward pedophilia for his own subjective, emotional reasons. May kill a pedophile in cold blood (5ht2b/Er beta, separation.)
- He is very close to his family; he may be protective of them against outside influences and hostile toward them.
- Spiritual, may be very religious.
-a tendency toward political polarization and emotional activism. This is often linked to the local culture in which she was born and for which she has developed a fondness.
