Mushrooms for ultratrace minerals?

Hi guys hope you are all doing well!

I have been in the forest a lot lately to look for mushrooms (mainly boletus).
I usually eat a lot of them when they are available.

Has somebody reliable information about ultratrace mineral content of mushrooms (gold, rubidium, ...).

Since they grow up in the forrest, I would think they are probably very balanced and rich in those trace elements.
On the other hand animals usually avoid them. Maybe they are too high in some elements?

Are they like low dose shilagit @Helen ?

Cronometer say mushrooms have a lot of copper, iron and selenium. So not the best for the usual slow oxidizer.

Have a great day!

I love mushrooms. Also chaga mushrooms are like shilagit.

Yeah I love mushrooms as well. White button, enoki, oyster, portobell, shitake. I mainly eat them for b2 and selenium but they are good around besides the minerals with other stuff too like beta glucan

Did you find more info on white button mushrooms being liver toxic? Was it hexane?, something like that. Have to boil them for hours and throw out the water, then rinse. That Dr. on a rogan podcast scared me from eating them. That phd loves fungi, knows everything about it, eats every kind of the stuff, but will not eat wbm.

I believe WBM were the only ones with this problem. I'll try and find the video if you haven't seen it.

I believe you heard that from RP forum, I see it mentioned all the time there but there is never a real answer on it. I'm not really convinced that you need to boil them for hours in order for them to be safe though. I eat loads of them daily and liver enzymes where good as well feeling great after I eat them (assuming they were toxic I probably wouldn't feel good).

I don't only eat WBM, just I do like the more thicker texture at times as it can be flavorful. If you got the video I'll check it out, but at least from my anecdotal evidence it doesn't seem to be liver toxic to me.

Starts talking about portabellos at 1:00, Gets scary at 2:00. After I saw that, I found a reddit full of people trying to figure out why he fears talking about it and what exactly are the detriments of consuming them.

Yeah, I do remember seeing that now. I agree not loading on WB all the time, but it something to take into consideration. I just really haven't seen any actually proof of being that bad.

WBH mushroom weight loss
On a diet? White button mushrooms speed up weight loss

+immune benefits
Supplementation with these two mushrooms decimates the human papillomavirus

I usually do broths so my shrooms are cooked pretty well

Yeah, there's tons of health benefits. They taste great. Expensive though, I could eat $15 of WBM with a meal no problem.

When a guy who knows everything about fungi says he doesn't eat them and can't talk about why because "his life is in DANGER", it gives me pause.

That being said, I'll probably start buying them again. Do you notice any difference with them depending on cooking duration?

Yeah, I just like the texture of them since they are nice and thick and taste meaty.

I agree that it should be taken into consideration, but at the same time people take mushrooms (fly agarics) that are known neurotoxic daily and are fine (check the vid below). I think mushrooms still are out there in terms of research, still many unknowns. I'm just saying from my perspective, I had my liver and kidney tested almost the same time after eating lots of WBH and no elevations or any sign of toxicity. The longer I cook them they better they taste IMO. I think shiitake are the best both taste and health wise though.

I also eat white button mushrooms and chestnut mushrooms. I cook them around 20 minutes and then bake them in butter.

People in nature would also eat random shit. Probably even dirt on it and stuff, uncooked, raw. Small amounts of these foods are beneficial for the extra minerals and certain properties. Just don't eat kilo's of mushrooms then it will probably become actually toxic.
