-Planned obsolescence runs rampant in consumer electronics.
-My dad's newer Acura has had a piece dangling off of it like two times. It's low... but that's ridiculous. And a tire puncture, they "fixed the tire", rather than replacing it.
-Was going thru TSA, in a fit of rage... I gently threw my cart down, I believe causing my screen on my lossless-audio-player - Sony to crack a bit. Still works very well, 4-6 weeks later. -the other cart with two laptops, was left unharmed.
-I will get it fixed though, I'm hoping. It has worked 2.5 or more years well.
-I sleep with the Shure's... with no music. But I toss and turn, I should use the old ones to prevent breakage. I use cases for everything and almost never throw them
(except phones). I always buy 1-1.5year older phones on the cheap, so they can be thrown around easier without fear of breaking them.
-I have snap cases / rubber for all of them, but the damn music player one came like 2 weeks too late. I had an old case and screen guard - gone I guess.
-My PS1 still works I think.... found it, may need to be turned upside down because of the lazer melting the cd-reader (plastic).
