Everything is telling me urea cycle (NO/ citrulline here) is biggest part of this.
But it’s something that many need to build up slowly. If you’ve been sick for years it will kill you if you go directly to citrulline.
I have been tracking minerals and aminos for a long time. Unfortunately I only did aminos about once a year until 1 year ago. Since then I’ve been tracking aminos every 3 months at a minimum.
I think coenzyme A is the big one that has to be working before anything. CoA moves glutamate to arginine. B5, NAD, chromium seem to be the big ones here in past for me. But there’s a lot more to CoA I’m trying to learn.
So you’re at CoA and you’re getting to arginine. Arginine to ornithine needs to come next. Manganese activating arginase enzyme does so. This opens up urea BUT we need both sulfur and H20 to get to urea. So poor sulfation pathway? You aren’t getting to urea. And urea is needed for CARBON MONOXIDE (pay attention to this) and ammonia detox. Two potent poisons.
Now… the next thing is citrulline. And if you’re in moderately good health. citrulline going in is fine. But most of us… zinc/ biotin (per Gbold and my own experiences) get us to citrulline from ornithine. And you get to NO.
NO gets us to Heme oxygenase which converts Heme to fe2. Fe2 = cholesterol to pregnenolone. Exactly what gbold was thinking with Joe Kool. NO also dumps copper.
BUTTTTT. And this is biggest but. HEME oxygenase PRODUCES CARBON MONOXIDE.
So I order to get to ho-1/ NO…. We really really really need urea cycle working. We need to produce urea from ornithine. To control carbon monoxide. This requires sulfur (so methylation/ fe2) , h20 (so retaining electrolytes.)
My closest pfs buddy over the years. He was dead for a long time. Like 3 years in bed. ARL shit. Tried it all. He Was talking to gbold well before hackstasis in mid 2010s. His first step forward was stopping everythign and an electorlyte drink with vitamin C got him moving forward. What happened? His dead sulfur in hair increased to normal (CDO began working, he was getting Heme to fe2 and CO went down. CO straps iron to Heme as well.)
His dead iron in hair doubled. This was just step one for him. Eventually he had to go on methylation protocol… that’s when his iron in hair moved to normal.
