Nystatin

Some known recoveries with nystatin on propeciahelp.com. It's been out there for a while. Not everyone does well on it. It's basically an anti fungal to fight thrush and candida and to restore the gut. If it has cured some, it has to do more than just fight candida. Any experiences here?

Tried it on and off a year ago

I did not feel drastic improvement sexually and I was starting Cdnuts protocol at the same time so if it did something that would be hard to figure out which helped
I wasn't really consistent with it so your experience could be completely different

It was the expensive nystatin powder that comes with a cooler to keep the powder cold. It's available in the form of pills and liquid too and these forms might be easier to dose
I went with the powder because of its sugar-free composition. While on it I recall my shoulders would itch sometimes so it was definitely potent

Should I try it again the effects might be different

That's the tricky part with PFS. Sometimes a supplement might not work the first time you try it, and you try it again a few months later after some improvements or with another protocol and the effect are night and day. Dosage matters a lot too

Interesting for sure. I read they took very high dosages of it.

I read if you balance the body and get rid of excess copper for example you also lose candida and other fungals.

Once the copper is released in the bloodstream it kills candida and other yeast infections.

I read that recovery too and went searching as to why. In fact, on this forum or perhaps the last , I had asked if anyone experienced fungal issues such as a toe nail go fungal. During my finasteride use, I had a toenail go fungal and didn’t know why nor have I ever had an issue like that. It got me thinking what fin could do to our body temps and thyroid subsequently. That’s what got me looking at things like iodine which has been listed as a major help to many.

So I agree there’s a connection to fin and fungal infections, but since my toenail healed itself, and I’ve been using iodine with only a few breaks in usage, I think there’s a symptom there for sure

Copper toxity or deficiency causes candida to go loose and cause havoc in the body. Candida is just a symptom, though. Wondering how nystatin cures PFS.

It could be that finasteride causes a copper imbalance in some.

Copper toxicity:
Symptoms: insomnia, mononucleosis, low libido, aching muscles, muscle cramps, dry skin, candida, depression, suicidal thoughts, hypothyroidism (cold hands & feet), paranoia, panic attacks, obsessive thoughts

People also have digestive issues when they come off finasteride. Bloated stomach, pelvic pain. People with copper excess also report this. Extremely bad digestion. This is also why vegans often have bad digestion. Too much copper, candida, fungus etc.

I was on finasteride for two years. Let's say the body retains copper from the increased estrogen from day one. You do this for 2 years. That is like being on a vegan diet for 2 years. Copper overload. Imagine how someone is after being 5+ years on finasteride. You will have to do a focussed effort to get rid of it. For others it could be something else like iron. Helen pretty much said this too in that thread.

But can an excess in copper explain for example the tests Dr. Melcangi has done? An excess in copper can explain candida, etc. But what about the receptors, amount of hormones, etc.

It is not the only part of it I think. But it might be a big part in some of the PFS people.

Also read this:

Individuals with glucose-6-phosphate deficiency may be at increased risk of hematologic effects of copper

Ihatepropecia702 clearly had an issue with candida along with other pathogens that “locked” his pfs into place.

Pathogens, viruses etc etc strongly affect our nutritional systems. If you have an overload, something can be eaten at and leave things out of balance.

For instance, I’m dealing with well below average manganese right now. Not because I don’t supplement it. But because mycoplasma/Lyme in my body is eating away all my manganese.

We need to either

1) manually (lol @Niles gave me this idea to use word manually) rid ourselves of pathogens/viruses. As I did last summer with antibiotics, rife, LLLT, herbs, colloidal silver, mms, hydrogen peroxide. This is basically attacking pathogen from outside in. Basically bombing body. You’re not helping the overall balance of body by doing this. But body can go into balance as pathogen load diminishes. Or it could get even worse as I’ve experienced with excess ammonia at times. Depends on how you’re going at it. This is following “the germ theory.”

Other examples of guys who have done this- “-JN-“, “SolonJK”, and I’d put “ihatepropecia702” in that class as well as he used them like nystatin post fast. He used a ton of anti-bacterials too.

2) making body strong via Nutritional balancing, strengthening the gut (all the gut recoveries, probiotics, prebiotics, colostrum), diet, exercise, fasting, immune system balance TH1/Th2, making digestion greattt, and overall making yourself healthy. This is following “terrain theory.” Which is Eck is known for.

Obviously Chi is recovery to look at here, cdsnuts, Braziliandude (lol he didn’t even exercise... 60 Oz of juice a day and great diet for year), English etc.

I look at NB guys and GUT guys the same now. You fix the gut you fix your ability to digest and utilize your nutrition correctly. Things go into balance better as guts better. But throwing NB into that fold can fix gut itself. Or just be a game changer. they work together.

This technique is more sustainable. The body itself will take care of pathogens, viruses, toxicities. I think most guys that get better with 1 (listed above) need to follow up with this to stay in remission.

For example, I spoke with solonjk a year ago. He was like “eh I’m back down to 60-70%, but if when I go back to this antibiotic in a couple months I’ll be back to normal.”

He should be on this website lol.

You need to get the bad out of the body. And get your body working correctly. That’s the gist of beating this thing. Remove bad, make nutrition ideal and get all circuits working.
