Oxidation and meal frequency

This is a topic I’d like to bring up that I’ve pondered in the past. Having woken up on the 3rd day post water fast- I’m feeling as I’ve shifted more towards a fast oxidizer due to my fasting and activities therein. Normally, I’ve been more slow oxi in the past- so this is a change for me.

Diet is such a largely debated topic, but when it comes to meal frequency- it had not. Sure- oxidation types and foods have been made rather simple with slows needing carbs to go, fasts needing fats to slow down. But we have yet to talk about meal frequency for oxidation types.

A slow oxidizer is normally a high beneficiary of long fasts- as I am a prime example of that. Would that mean a slow oxidizer would do best with an intermittent or alternative type fasting diet such as two meals daily, one or two full fasting days a week (20-36 hours).

If that is indeed the case, would a fast oxidizer do better with smaller more frequent meals? Say 3-5 meals a day? Should a fast oxidizer abstain from short intermittent fasts?

2 years into hackstasis, I’m pretty shocked this discussion has yet to be brought up here. Would love to have this up for debate. What do you guys think ?

On workout days I notice I need to eat more frequently otherwise I will not feel as good. I need to eat a lot more too. Including carbohydrates.

On non-workout days I notice I need to eat less frequent but still more frequent than on higher fat diet.

I think it also depends how much fat you eat. When you eat a lot of fat you don't have to eat frequently. Probably because it slows your digestion and also slows your metabolism.

I'm not sure what oxidation I truly am. I feel better on this diet now which is lower fat but I need to eat frequently to have consistent energy.

On the high fat diet often felt a slight depressed feeling, tiredness and lack of energy but it suppressed appetite longer and I could go longer without meals.

EDIT: Also fat is high in calories so it is easier to get high amounts of calories in with fat vs. lower fat.

I like eating in a small eating window from like 6-10 pm. Productive during the day, food & relax at night

TEI suggests for me that I eat smaller meals increased frequency. Usually do my normal three meals, just smaller portions, and then added two more substantial snacks (almond butter and corn chips) and feeling good on that so far.

I’m a slow 1 for what it’s worth.

I am a slow oxidizer.

I do great on the tei suggested diet, smaller meals more frequently. I usually have a protien shake or a couple pieces of deer jerky at 7:30 am, a serving size of blue corn chips at 10:00, jerky, beans, and apple sauce for lunch at 12:00, cook a meal around 5 30 pm, and snack on some fruit around 7:00 pm.

Jerky has been great since I work out of a vehicle and am always on the go. If I buy jerky I make sure it's as natural as possible.

If I over eat I feel really sluggish. I feel really good eating this way and I feel like it speeds up my metabolism.
