I have been borderline insulin resistant since lexapro. Makes since with all the mid section weight gain that happened.

Mines high too, but my habits were very bad. I also had high Aldosterone, DHEA, Progesterone, Ferritin and low SHGB

I know mine started while coming off ssri. I think these meds raise cortisol, like steroids would, and cause blood sugar and insulin issues. I can go on a strict diet for a couple months and my mid section does not budge. My shbg is high, as is dhea. Not sure about others, but I do feel better when progesterone is blocked, and felt horrible on progesterone cream.

@Helen , do you think PSSD or PFS could be inherited if a man affected by one of them had children? Would those children be born with PSSD/PFS?

Just read this on pssdforum, PSSD Collaborative Research • View topic - How a single dose of antidepressants can trigger PSSD: a hypothesis

His discription of "Many of us used to have a severe anxiety disorder, let that be panic disorder, GAD, or social anxiety disorder. We used to be hypersexual with a hearty libido, and we used to be overly-emotional." fits me so well it's scary, except maybe the hypersexual part.

Overly responsive HPA axis making you susceptible, long-term potentiation / depression, it makes a lot of sense. What do you think @Helen ?
