RU for mental sides

So its been 12 and a 1/2 weeks since I stopped Saw Palmetto and am struggling with severe anxiety and Insomnia and to some extent brain fog. I been researching this awesome forum for help with these issues.

After looking at many logs and discussions and on PM with @Goose12 I am debating on taking RU (25 to 50 mg X 3 days ) I have high cortisol on my 24 h urine , to help with these sides so I can remain functional at work and home. Other option is to just sit tight and go on TEI.

Questions for all who have taken RU/Ella ..... did you have an improvement with the anxiety and Insomnia after using these agents that stuck.

@Boris
@RWAC
@Jack17
@IHateFin
@snowball
@tonysoprano
@5alpha
@joekool
@bruschi11

My current plans are to send hair to TEI through Catherine next week when I will be 6 weeks off my last dose of testosterone.

Any opinions, help and suggestions to deal with these mental sides are welcome and much appreciated.

Since you were taking some supplements (electrolytes magnesium + Potassium) this affects your hair test. So don't get hair test yet. Do RU cycle first. Then wait a month or so. Get the hair test and do first cycle of TEI.

Appreciate the input @RebelWithACause. I stopped Potassium and Magnesium on Nov 17th.

@Helen thanks for the suggestion I was taking Niacinamide 1000 mg at night which I believe is the same as Nicotinamide, If not I will pick some up today and try it again. Have been trying to get off everything in anticipation of the hair test.

Been a real struggle to stay functional at work.

-I used it.
-Nicotinamide sounds good. I think can help sleep a lot too.
-Ru, and this and that helped here and there definitely.
-TEI seems really strong and yet gentle. Strong enough for a man, but gentle enough for a lady.
-Just like abortion pills, without the additional emotional trauma.

Yes I did see improvements mentally and sleep improvements were there but only after I incorporated seriphos at night.

I found best anxiety and mental improvements from micro doses of 2.5mg about. Nothing that really stuck too long after.
I think Ella with trib stuck with me more and now with var nothing else has come close

Have you fasted yet? I know you mentioned you were considering.

Just feel like a good 20-30 day fast has really historically shown to pull guys out of the hell you’re in and pretty quickly at that.

I don't get it how can a person without strict training like they do in India go 20 days without eating? I could barely make 2 days when I was healthy, from this condition I can barely go several hours without eating or I get the shakes and feel cold and can barely function mentally. Do I have diabetic symptoms?

Necessity is the mother of all invention. WIth no choice, what is there to do... but fast.
I learned this. Hell I could fast right now before TEI round 2... and probably feel better. BUT* I don't want test results to be innaccurate. Probably they'd just be cleaner.
Might be a little jacked up right now. Waiting and waiting. horrible. although it's been like 2-3d.

Progesterone works for me but I think it can make some feel bad so I'm not sure it is a good option. It seems as though cycling Ella with progesterone improves benefit, but again there's a risk with this regimen.

I have prog. But now only tei long term. and will likely throw that away unless it regrows hair or something...keep in my bar fridge, although that could end badly... ill hide it somewhere.

-I'm sure these and ella did help place in a better position to heal. BUT* I also strongly believe TEI is stronger, and more sustainable (less costly - than say buying tons and tons of ru). -also, so strong that it basically helped insomnia (which is basically implied with mood disorder, or my other issues combined), day 1.

SP part is common between us as I took fin followed by SP which got me to this situation.

Ella definitely had the strongest impact (mental peace, oily skin, digestion improvement, sharp focus....) of anything I tried to date and for the first time in “so MANY years” I felt back to normal..honestly Ella helped me to recall what normal is. However most of the benefits went away after a few weeks except anxiety ones I guess..

RU, on the other hand, reduced anxiety as well however cycle was very short so cannot conclude.

To summarize, after Ella/RU I felt my anxiety levels are lower on an average compared to what they were before.

-cortisol signalling and overmethylation issues perhaps. as helen suggested on the discord (as pfs causing). stress intolerance.
-definitely was frustrated a hell of a lot more than usual. probably still at times, but wanes... not as long. and was there before at times; but was pretty stressful much of feb-July, 2018. -august better, tei better, nothing better too. - but it comes with the territory.

-Put it this way, probably tried A LOT (some shady) of things for insomnia, probably even alcoholism, and worse... since 19 or 20... and literally nothing helps longer than a couple days. Maybe lithium orotate and A LOT of Mg. -- outside of mood stabilizers (too risky), tei...
--Although MMJ helps too. BUT* if you want to be drug free. MMJ actually helped maybe 6 weeks of great sleep this yr.
-BUT guess what? Terrible for work I was doing, and studying? didn't study once period in that 6 weeks... so yes, helps mood, helps sleep... terrible for day to day - ADHD part.
-Also helped sexual drive. but again, not sustainable.
-For me*. Save it... for trips, friends, dates, not as an every single day thing.
-whereas TEI, I barely thought about it, just made sure to check what i was eating was "recommended" and not on the "avoid" list.

Thanks for the feedback. I have read your log. I continue to weigh all my options (so glad for this forum that I have options!!)

I just need to remain functional and RU/Ella is tempting with several reports of improvement in mental sides on the other hand TEI is a solid option with possibly less risk. My plan is to make a decision soon.

TEI is a better option in long run.
