Many of us have/had shin splints. I'm still struggling with this and decided to find the cause. In my case it seems to stem primarily from slight bone loss in my feet, ankles.

This causes (as i stated in my log), for my feet to lean more towars the outside of my sneakers, due to my feet not filling the sneakers completely.

Its a biomechanical flaw/injury

Im curious as to how you guys who overcame this feel your body was able to adapt.

Increase in foot size?
Foot balancing adaptation?
Smaller sneakers?
Less running/sport?

All of the above?

Link to the biomechanics explanation.

No bowed legs.

I didnt have shin splints prior to pfs. My activities included gym, sprinting, intense hikes, basketball etc.

I always thought mine were shin splints, but it's actually nodules along the bone, they can be broken up if u press on them hard, what clued me in was because my last crash they were all over my body, deep in the muscles

.. took a lot of deep tissue massage to bust them up.. then I realized it was the same thing along the shins.. not sure if it applies to u

How did you know I was on the 7th floor?
I knew it!
Merck is tracking me.
This site has been compromised.

I got eyes and ears everywhere.

Did it felt like when you watch a movie at home and the movie is just disappointing, then you just pack your suitcases and heading the door !?

I'll look into this. Is there a way to scan or test for nodules?

Nah, just feel along the bone from all sides and look closely., try to see if its really the muscle or even nerves/tendons. Try to zero in on what is actually causing the pain, it's tricky cuz it radiates
if u feel it press on it a bit, try to see if it's a little bump, once u feel it, you'll realize it's not the bone, even though it feels like it.. I was duped for years, in my case..

Again, this might not apply to u. But I never had this prior to fin
