Very interesting. And you’ve had no hair loss as a result of the T3?I'm taking approx 25mcg morning and afternoon... so about 50mcg every day... of only T3...
I'm prepared to go up to 100mcg spread out over 3 dosages , which is my maximum dose...
I have a Rx for T3 and I thought hair loss was listed as a side effect. However I just looked at the literature and I do not see hair loss as one of the side effects so I must be mistaken. I’m probably mistaking it with my Nature Throid Rx as that one does have hair loss listed as a side effect.None at all... zero and I can run my hands thru my hair over the white sink and zero pops out...
But I honestly didn't expect hair loss from T3... do you have a link that would show that as a possible side effect??
In my opinion, T3 has turned back the clock... I feel overall well... erection and morning wood has returned... I can't speak to what you may want to try, if you've been diagnosed with Hashimoto's, but if you get your levels tested including reverse T3, a doctor might not understand what your condition means because you also have PFS, but the stress on the body really changes how your thyroid should be diagnosed...
I'm no expert at all... but I also don't see how adding a 2nd equally small dose mid day could harm you... take your temperature throughout the day and see how you feel...
Did you have your thyroid levels tested before taking TyroMix? Why did you decide to stop taking TyroMix?I felt fantastic on TyroMix (T3/T4).
Did your have your thyroid levels tested before going on T3 though, joekool????

I’m cold often, particularly during times of anxiety where I’m literally frigid...with teeth chattering and body shivering. It’s really embarrassing. This “anxiety-freeze” developed over the last year so it’s not a symptom I’ve had since my crash. Of course, feeling cold is something I’ve had for years but I believe that is due to the muscle wasting.No.
Only TSH checked, which was 4.23.
I decided to stop for fear of making hair loss worse (a lot of guys at the time on rpf were saying TyroMix was killing their hair).
I felt fantastic on Tyromix, and I wasn't cold anymore, for the first time in YEARS... I had to kick off the blanket at night because I'd be too hot.
I want to touch on something real quick while I re-read the conversation, which is great to see...
I'm using strictly T3 rather than a mix of T4 & T3 because I'm attempting to flush my body's Reverse T3... which I haven't had any tests but I'm in a belief that's what has caused my symptoms... Reverse T3 can only be made from T4 and, in taking straight T3, my thyroid's feedback loop will inherently drop it's own T4 production... giving my body time to flush RT3 (since it can't make any more without T4) and ideally, heal...
This concept of flushing reverse T3 is not my sole idea but I've found additional doctors online who refer it... and list the symptoms of high RT3 all coincide with mine... inflammation, especially in the gut, which I believe I have healed months back, can lead to poor T4 to T3 conversion as well as higher levels of RT3... (as an example)
Similarly, many have recovered with the use of R-Andro or Androsterone... this pro-hormone converts to DHT via a different pathway and is thyroid mimetic... I believe that's why many of us, myself included, felt great on R-Andro and have lead to partial and full recoveries after multiple cycles... Johnny, you may want to research that product and perhaps develop a cycle down of thyroid with R-Andro (look for Super R-Andro by IronMagLabs) to see if you can come off all... if that's a goal...
I'm nearing 40 and I'm not against a T3 daily or EOD or weekly dosage if that's life... similar to other types of replacement therapy, but for now... I'm trying to eventually be clean of supplements except ones I want like creatine and such...
Also, minime, if you're still cold often, maybe that's a reason to try adding a 2nd dose?
I agree...perhaps a 2nd dose of T3 could improve my temp. I do not test my body temp as I’ve heard suggested. Maybe that is an avenue I need to explore.I want to touch on something real quick while I re-read the conversation, which is great to see...

100 is ok. I think.
