What even combats cortisol? Like what can you do to reduce cortisol?
My cortisol, thyroid tests were all normal. Ive been a good week on ashwagandha which should modulate (most research seems to be focused on decreased cortisol when high levels of stress), pro-thyroid and slightly pro T.@Jaxx @talkingant
here is an interesting study. which shows that cortisol inhibits conversions of DHEA, we do have tons of people with high DHEA.
Cortisol Stimulates Secretion of Dehydroepiandrosterone in Human Adrenocortical Cells Through Inhibition of 3βHSD2
DHEA is usually anticortisol @Trump_1776

I am not sure why but my energy levels are great again, even without losing sleep. It does feel a bit like licorice root, so could be cortisol overall.
I rec'd barbaar to try ashwaganda 2 weeks ago. Since it is gaba- b agonist and calcium channel blocker. same as baclofen. @barbaar
SSRI is a beta-1 blocker , so as I mentioned andrenergic system is also involved.
Cytochrome from propecia were on glucorticoids for 6 months and came off, then waited for 2 months and recovered.
@gaivs Wuf, just took cortisol supplements, then went off, took some time to stabilize but also told me that he is close to recovered .
Plus as I said 2 receptors could be overexpressed , AR and GR. so DHT with cortisol.
Also I'm still thinking of upregulated gaba receptor and I will try that with couple of people to block it and see if it will produce full recovery.
This is why Cdnuts protocol works. since he actually cycles, r andro which is gaba agonist, increases DHT, and also he cycled, dhea supps which downregulate cortisol receptor. and some other herbs which are gaba -b agonists

@Helen
I don't have or know anything about PSSD but I can't ignore my sometimes-incredible memory:
Cyproheptadine - A Wonder Drug?
Forgot to mention that Ziziphus seems to help me too.
The rebound Cypro keeps working for me too. On day 3-4 I feel like SUPER man.... All feelings back. For example, today was day 4 after 1mg. The pumps and strength in the gym came back.... I felt strong. Better blood flow/vasodilation. WTF is the mechanisms here?!?
Have you done a hair test? Sounds like you have high cortisol/serotonin. Cypro works but it doesn’t have permanent effects.
GR is overexpressed, this raises SHBG,

ME.
My SHBG Is SKY high... But my total Testosterone production is also highest possible. Like 870ng.
I respond Awfully to Curcumin.
I am cured by Cypro 3-4 days after a single dose of 1mg.
What does this tell you? How can I permanently achieve this.
