What even combats cortisol? Like what can you do to reduce cortisol?

@Jaxx @talkingant

here is an interesting study. which shows that cortisol inhibits conversions of DHEA, we do have tons of people with high DHEA.

Cortisol Stimulates Secretion of Dehydroepiandrosterone in Human Adrenocortical Cells Through Inhibition of 3βHSD2

DHEA is usually anticortisol @Trump_1776
My cortisol, thyroid tests were all normal. Ive been a good week on ashwagandha which should modulate (most research seems to be focused on decreased cortisol when high levels of stress), pro-thyroid and slightly pro T.
I am not sure why but my energy levels are great again, even without losing sleep. It does feel a bit like licorice root, so could be cortisol overall.

I rec'd barbaar to try ashwaganda 2 weeks ago. Since it is gaba- b agonist and calcium channel blocker. same as baclofen. @barbaar

SSRI is a beta-1 blocker , so as I mentioned andrenergic system is also involved.

I'll give ashwaganda another shot after I figure out where to get transcortin tested. Active B vits should arrive this week too.

Cytochrome from propecia were on glucorticoids for 6 months and came off, then waited for 2 months and recovered.

Found the post of cytochrome where he explain his recovery. I think it's interesting to read. You see that there are more things involved. He didn't take only dexamethasone.

@cdnut: I know that this confuses you a little bit. I ll try to describe it a liitle bit more detailed:
I took propecia for a long time (5 years) and stopped it in march 2004. The side effects from propecia didnt disappear. I asked a doctor who is gynecologist. He is well educated about endrocine systems in men too. I told him my story and he said that I should try dexamethasone 0,5mg daily at bed time for 4weeks. Than I should take Dexa one over another week at bed time. He recommended me to contact him after six months again.
I did what he told me and after six months (October 2005) he said that my blood levels are getting better. He adviced me to go on with the dexa therapie. I took dexa till early summer 2006 and DIDNT notice any improvements. So I decided to stop the Dexa intake. At the same time I gegan to take Quercetin and nettle root. After 6-8 weeks I recovered suddenly. I thought that Quercetin and nettle root fixed my situation. That was a mistake! Dexamethasone helped me improvin my condition! Dexa suppresed my adrenal hormons. And after quitting dexa, these hormons began to come back high. I dont know why, but it seems that dexa helped me to recover.
My big mistake was, that I started with finasterid again, because after recovering my hair began to fall out again. I tried a topical Finasterid solution. i thought that this topical solution is safe. That was a big mistake. After two months I recognized sideffects. I stopped topical finasterid in march 2007. the side effetcs didnt disappear again
So what should I do now? I ll try to do the same things I had done once.
@the rest:
I am not sure, but I guess that dexamethason worked for me. It is the only idea which makes sense for me. Because the herbs didnt work again. So it must be dexa. Adding Creatin is helpfull. DHT peaks once a week may be worth a shot too.
I ll took, 25 gr Creatin for 10 days and now I am on 10gr creatin daily with ALA (alpha lipon acid). Every monday I take 75mg Proviron sublingual. DHT peak once a week will not suppres endogen testoproduction! By the way Greek is a good source for Proviron!
@cdnut Yes I felt a little bit better with tribosten and it was a big improvment for me (sexual symptoms). But I didnt recovere with all symptoms. Sorry. I erred.

@gaivs Wuf, just took cortisol supplements, then went off, took some time to stabilize but also told me that he is close to recovered .

Plus as I said 2 receptors could be overexpressed , AR and GR. so DHT with cortisol.

Also I'm still thinking of upregulated gaba receptor and I will try that with couple of people to block it and see if it will produce full recovery.

This is why Cdnuts protocol works. since he actually cycles, r andro which is gaba agonist, increases DHT, and also he cycled, dhea supps which downregulate cortisol receptor. and some other herbs which are gaba -b agonists

This is interesting. Do you think proviron could do the job to regulate AR like in cytochrome protocol?

Quercetin,
for me it makes feel tired tired and sleepy for hours and then I feel great for about a day or two.
I am thinking its doing something with Cortisol or Cortisol receptors.

I don't have or know anything about PSSD but I can't ignore my sometimes-incredible memory:

Cyproheptadine - A Wonder Drug?

That guy who feels amazing 3-4 days after Cypro is ME.
And I still can't figure out why/how it does this.
I feel entirely cured and alive again.
-Libido super high
-Energy up
-Vibrational rush feeling again

What seems to make me worse is:
-Zinc supps
-Curcumin
-Potatoes (solanine?)
-spinach
-ALCAR after 2 days of usage (initial spike in libido, followed by rapid drop)

What seems to give me windows of cure like Cypro 3 days later:
-Zeolite drops (5-HT1a?)
-Yohimbinum mother tincture Homeopathic
-Phosphorus Homeopathic form (3 day window)
-St John's wort TEA (Perika and other extracts are literally like giving me anxiety and paranoia in a bottle)

Forgot to mention that Ziziphus seems to help me too.
The rebound Cypro keeps working for me too. On day 3-4 I feel like SUPER man.... All feelings back. For example, today was day 4 after 1mg. The pumps and strength in the gym came back.... I felt strong. Better blood flow/vasodilation. WTF is the mechanisms here?!?

Have you done a hair test? Sounds like you have high cortisol/serotonin. Cypro works but it doesn’t have permanent effects.

If I have low cortisol, and increased GR expression, then somehow Cypro reverses this...
Why when I am cured a CLUSTER of positive symptoms occur... not just disappearing PSSD. Like I can feel emotions fully, I get pumps in the gym, I feel like I have more energy etc.

GR is overexpressed, this raises SHBG,

ME.

My SHBG Is SKY high... But my total Testosterone production is also highest possible. Like 870ng.

I respond Awfully to Curcumin.

I am cured by Cypro 3-4 days after a single dose of 1mg.

What does this tell you? How can I permanently achieve this.
