Why does TUDCA make me feel so much better?

My mood lifts pretty quickly and I can think better, body temperature improves too. Wondering why this is.

Is TUDCA an antiandrogen perhaps?

@merebalacy TUDCA is pro liver function that's for sure. Only thing that was able to lower my liver enzymes. Was taking 500mg of nutricost TUDCA. Now I lowered to 250mg so I can keep taking it longer. But it is so expensive. I can't take it on daily.. Wonder if even that 250mg dose can keep my liver enzymes in green numbers and what will happen when I retest after not taking it for a while..

Bro, I put 1/5 of a pill in 500ml of water and took 3 sips and felt better straight away.

I do have something wrong with my bile, my stool is always green, I also have Gilbert’s. I still don’t know if this reaction is placebo or not.

I think that due to impaired methylation, we have problems with the distribution of cysteine. It likely doesn't go into producing taurine and is probably all diverted to glutathione. Bile doesn't conjugate normally. Taurine is also an agonist of GABA-A, and precisely of those sub-receptors that allopregnanolone activates.

Overall, I suspect that the primary role is in taurine.

Is it possible that it acts by chelating copper? Perhaps Helen mentioned it, but I don't remember the mechanism exactly.

I reccently started to cycle pine pollen, and it works like helen wrote. After each cycle you feel better. Copper start to work.
Of course on cycle you feel strange/bad. Brush your teeth with good paste beacuse you may develop problems with teeth/gums while on it.

I don't know, I haven't heard that taurine somehow binds copper strongly. Perhaps through indirect pathways, through antioxidants, for example. I'm not sure that the effect of taurine has anything to do with copper.

If TUDCA helps with bile flow that means it helps eliminate excess of copper from the body.. But I didn't have any improvement with of bile flow with TUDCA.. Now I am trying to lower my manganese intake because manganese toxicity can stop bile production as well..

Maybe you have a problem with bile cofactors, or a problem with glycine, not taurine?
