Why we no longer discuss Ella / RU?

used it all in higher doses than was needed. risked it all. but the thing is... fasting >>>> all but didnt help everything, however did help like 80% of symptoms if not more long run.

well i mean i didn't use it all, not a ton of supps after 2017 december (threw nearly all). and no fin, no duta, no urine, no shilled steroids, etc.

well i mean it wasnt just fasting, but I dont think ella, ru, etc would have helped me without it or if they did... id still be too impatient or would need like 5000 dollars worth of ru or something.

#1. Fasting.
#2. Electrolytes.
#3. TEI.
Randro and 4andro somewhere.... and workouts.
Ru and ella lower than those things above for sure. for me. not bad* still higher than random supps and herbs solo. But again, PCT was fine too, later after randro and 4andro.
No way would I rank them as high as 1-3 tho. I could be wrong, possibly helped others more than the above 3 but I don't think so.

Well no real 'news' news today, just some admin. All 'pre' bloods in the post going out, should have the lot by Friday. The remaining RU is on it's way now, should be in my hand Monday. Found THIS where it's been run before, and a little bit of 'human' info to go on. Preparing for some low mood following just in case.

Also HERE and HERE TOO with much info in the links. Good reading.

Looks like @Boris called it right with 800mg for 5 days, in one dose, looks like a PM dose in the PTSD studies. This seems like our trial then.

'Mid' bloods ordered, I think I'll take those either day 4 or 5 of 5. EDIT - that'll be the Wednesday, which will be day 4 I think. Must remember it's 8:10...

'Post' bloods we looking at 6 weeks plus I guess. I could sure use a paycheck between now and then too!

9 sleeps to RU challenge!

As before any and all advice and speculation super and hugely welcome. Thanks all!

EDIT - some more reading HERE and I spot on page 3 some guy, now cured of HPA dysfunction of some sort, mentions 100mcg triptorelin shot, as kick-started Apr1989's recovery with Tribulus. Could be nothing, but posting here for the higher-ups to ponder...

Yea this has been mentioned before to Admiral I think since all his hormones are low. Triptorelin can restart the axis.

Interesting, looks like a bodybuilder, person with Lyme and fatigue trialed it with some good feeeback. Doesn't seem anyone with PFS or PSSD did yet. Also they mention that 200mg was way too low and people here were taking less than 50mg here so it should be interesting. Of course the one bodybuilder that did it can even trial it right as soon as he gets water retention from it he starts taking T3, dieuretics and shit lol which is going totally against letting your body naturally reset itself and continues to disrupt his own axis.

If I decide to test Ella again, what should I do differently than changing dosage and duration or adding r-andro before trial? Last time when I tried it, I was prefin state for a week so two and slowly started moving back to square one. In other words - What should I take before or after trial (if any) that can make it sustainable?
My test profile - My hair test shows I’m slow oxidizer. Dutch test shows low DHT and low T however DHEA looks alright.

I would probably take a dopamine agonist during and after.

Do you think it would be a good idea to start a thread dedicated to your trial?

I thought that the other day, but I've pretty much hijacked this one now - didn't want to clutter the forum up.

Definitely start a new one for your RU trial.

Okay, will do. When I'm about to get started I'll make a log thread and link it here/link back to here. It'll only be 5 days + aftermath/postmortem after all, shouldn't be too long.

Do you intend to make follow-up posts after a month, three months, six months, etc.?

Will probably depend on how it goes. If nothing changes after or I slide back to baseline then yes I'll 'complete' the study in that case. If it ends up curing me I'll keep checking in, will definitely stick around and will make a LOT of time and cash available for followup experiments as we'll need to know what's going on inside me for the future.

I've got my own generalised PFS log too though and the narrative of my PFS battle can go on in there again after this.

Hopefully that'll be a sensible way to play it.

They also talked about rehmannia six in that RU thread on longecity. So if indeed RU does help - rehmannia six could be a cheaper option as well maybe, but still not sure. If you still don't know how RU works this guy worded it perfectly below.
Recalibrating HPA axis to normalize chronic stress disorders? - Supplements - LONGECITY

@jinstewart I would say we would know quick if it works for you or not. In the matter of a week or so after your first trial you should see if it was helpful (you also may feel a bit better while on RU since cortisol is being blocked like I did). If so then repeat it again higher dose etc. No point in waiting months for a snapback especially since we know that RU has poor bioavailabilty crossing the BBB so I doubt its going to hang around long. The studies showed the beneficial effects for veterans were shown pretty recent after their trial ended.

Thanks Boris. I was going to wait at least 20 days, as the second guy who bounced back from dexamethasone took that long iirc. In any case, I'll let bloods stabilise etc. Call it three weeks then from last dose? Then run bloods then run RU again, likely 1.2g/day for 5 days for round 2. I'll check out that link in a mo too, cheers again for spoon-feeding me all the research here!

Gosh this'll be expensive but worth it if it shifts PFS. Bloods due back in by mid-week, DHT results might be Friday or Saturday. Thinking of making the first day this coming Saturday too but I'm not full sure (that'll mean bloods taken on day 5 of 5.)

Keep all the suggestions and comments and everything coming folks. Looking forward to this one. :)

@Helen - sorry to bug you, last time here I promise. Any further thoughts on this one?

I'll open the log thread at some point too.

Getting brave! Keep us updated. It sounds like an expensive endeavor but if it helps, it will be worth it

That ship has sailed. Some within the solvepfs/propeciahelp community have tried it as well and it seemed to have lowered their androgens when they came off. Can't say I've read many positives on it elsewhere, either. I keep looking, though.

I really have no clue which hormonal route is the way to go. @Helen is suggesting many, but we seem to hop from idea to idea around here without really trying anything because it isn't outlined enough. Few want to just experiment with hormones as they can fuck you up good.

I will try DHT + estrogen gel after this TEI round most likely.
