Yoga?

How you go overboard lol....

Yoga can be good, but some people have been retraumatized in doing yoga where the teacher was not trauma informed. When you relax under your personal line, then the body sends out extra activations that were kept quiet! Then you can experiment sweats and anxiety and a lot of discomfort. And this needs to be addressed, so that it is released for good. Or else you stock it again in your system.

Any thing like yoga or meditation needs to be done with care for a simple reason: you focus on your inner sensations, and instinctively we first notice the uncomfortable ones.

The antidote to strong reactions in any self-feeling method is called orienting. It means to connect with your 5 senses to the stable present around you. This is our anchor for the boat to stay stable.

If you are distracted when you do yoga or any exercise on your own, it means your body is wise enough to alert you that this is going to be too moving for your system. If you stirr mud in water, this is like detoxing by moving heavy metals inside you: you need to be sure to move ONLY what your body can expulse! Our nerves are electric in nature, so they have a maximum charge they can handle. Ther key word to remember for all that we do for our health is INTENSITY. Unlike our house wire, it does not vary by country only, but is highly personal. Trust your body!

Yoga is something I’ve tried a couple times in sauna on my own or had a girl try to show me moves, but that’s as far as I’ve gone.

But for someone that is healing who has major physical limitations like cfs it certainly makes a ton of sense.

If you can’t exercise much without major consequences, yoga is something I’d recommend. I should’ve been doing it this past year really. I spent a lot of time in the sauna and it would be nice to incorporate yoga with that.

@Niles has said he loves it and really helps him with sleep at night.

Yoga can be a great practice for almost anybody. I prefer to stay away from the trendier types like "power" or "hot" yoga, because I've got plenty of other kinds of exercise to sweat and build strength. I think it's best used as a relaxing mobility exercise, to get the blood flowing at the start of the day or to wind down and ease tension before bed at night.

Back when I was really in the shit shortly after I crashed, a yoga class would cure anxiety, headaches, insomnia, racing thoughts, etc. and it was invaluable to me. I haven't started going back to classes since moving to NYC, cause they're expensive af, but I probably will since it's well worth it.

I think it's hilarious that some of these dudes are so insecure in their masculinity that they'd never try yoga "bEcaUsE iTS gAY hUR DuR". Guys, it's an ancient practice that has benefitted men for thousands of years. Get over yourselves, it's not a good look.

I dedicate this poem to you

Real Men:

Real men dont wear tight pants
Real men dont do doggy poses
Real men dont let goats fart in their face
Real men dont do yoga

HAHAHAHA

I'm joking, the whole thing is a joke. My jokes arent a mask to shield any potential insecurities. I will try the yoga and let the goat fart in my face. Inhale the fumes with yoga breathing and let it charge up my chakras.

Seriously though, I believe it can benefit some of us here.

I think the most helpful aspect about yoga is the enhanced range of motion people get from doing it, but I feel like there's better ways of doing it as yoga really seems to have an effeminating and "castrating" effect in males. It's similar to weed in how males end up being. For females it's probably perfectly fine.

Before pssd yoga used to send my libido through the roof, so there really is no evidence for this. It probably seems that way because more effeminate males are more likely to do what in the west is mainly a female activity

Yes you are around sweaty vagina and labia fumes for one hour straight!
