Hey @Niles , how long had you been doing ARL to begin with? Is this your second round of supplements, or where there more before that even?
Yep, this is my second round of supplements. I've been on ARL for about 2 months now, and a retested a little after 1 month. This isn't the norm, though - usually you stay on one set of supps for 3-4 months before retest. I just got a little over anxious and wanted to get a new test done early. I think 3-4 months between retests is fine for most, if you look back at my original supplement recommendations you'll see they haven't changed much.

I occasionally get that urine stuck in the urethra symptom. Seems to be when my penis is at its most rubbery state.
Yeah, for me it correlated with my worst periods of shrinkage. I think it might also correlate with prostate issues. I stopped getting that sensation after about 3 weeks, though.

Niles how’s things going man? Are you still taking the hydrogen water along with ARL?

After about a week of the new ARL supps, I'm experiencing the following:

- Digestion has gone from bad to worse (stools are now 2-3 times a day, looser, with undigested food. Bloating and stomach discomfort after meals. Lots of rumbling all up and down the digestive tract.)
- Sleep has become tricky again, but not as bad as pre-ARL. Takes me longer to fall asleep, not feeling tired in the evening as I should. Waking up is rough lol
- No change in libido or EQ whatsoever
- Mid-day energy crash on some days

More annoyed than discouraged by these symptoms, but I've been worse in all these areas before. Hopefully I'll adjust to the new supps in the next couple of weeks.

I'm toying with the idea of going back on hydrogen water in the mornings, just 1.5cups/day to start. I know there was some talk about hydrogen water likely benefitting slow oxidizers more, but it looks like @Helen has recently said fast oxidizers can benefit as well. I'm probably leaning towards just leaving hydrogen water until later, once I get more of my minerals in range, but I'm open to any suggestions. More than anything else, I think my digestion is holding me back. Stools have been green and loose since crash, and I have trouble keeping weight on.

Yo, just added a little update above. I actually stopped the hydrogen water when I started ARL. I had been on it for 3 weeks or so and hadn't noticed anything from it.

I think digestion gets worse the more chelation going on,... and you're chelating again more because you're balancing more again. Right? What do you think? Same with sleep and energy.

Hmm, could be. My digestion wasn't this bad on my first round of ARL, though, which leaves me a bit confused. I'm gonna try not to make too much of it and just go super bland and digestible with my diet for a few days.

Did you try probiotics?

Saccharomyces Boulardii
I should be getting plenty of probiotics in, because I drink kefir every morning and also take a reuteri and rhamnosus. Also take visbiome every few days. I'm gonna simplify everything for the next few days and see if things improve.

So I just met with an alternative medicine doctor that I've been visiting off and on so that I could get a GI Map done by Diagnostic Solutions. Since my digestion has been a big issue from the start, I figure now is the time.

Here's a sample report (not mine):

GI Map SAMPLE Report

I saw that a few people here had gotten the Genova Comprehensive Parasitology Report, which I mentioned to my doctor, but he prefers Diagnostic Solutions (though he has used Genova in the past).

So, in a few weeks we should know which, if any, microbiome imbalances I have! Has anyone else had this particular test done?

Going to take a break from ARL to see if my digestion improves. Lately it's been pretty awful - I'm losing weight and my stool is always loose and green, with bits of undigested food in it. Stomach aches, bloating, the works. My plan is to really focus in on diet and lifestyle, with only supplementation coming from digestive enzymes, bile salts, and/or HCl, adding them in slowly to gague their affects. Could take a week, could take a month, but I really need to start digesting things properly so that I don't keep wasting away.

I've been on ARL since March, and the longest break that I took was only a few days. I think this is necessary to slow down and find my bearings.

I really like this idea for you @Niles .

Based on what I've been doing these past 10 months and I told @Concerned this the other day too. The powerful things I've done really seem to hurt digestion, sleep, fatigue, sexuality, and overall well being.

These being-

Crazy Rife Month, Gerson therapy , Juice feast sept/2017
ARL
fasting
detox protocol now

After each of these things I've done for 3-4 weeks and taking time to chill afterward, my body chemistry would get into a much better place.

I feel as if these powerful actions can be indifferent, bad, or good for PFS imbalance while doing them depending on the person. But due to the powerful affects of these actions, after stopping, the body automatically assumes a better position in terms of the PFS imbalance because it is naturally more healthy.

And i

I'm excited to see where you end up. Maybe fast for a day like 36 hours and see where the body comes back afterward. Let your gut rest a day since you've been having issues with it.

Thanks man, I really appreciate the positivity. I'll think about doing a 36hr fast this weekend (energy drops too low without food to try it while working during the week). What I'd really like to do is a 10-day juice feast once I get my weight up. I'm thinking if I can hit 145lbs I'll be safe. I'm at 137lbs now. I've tried a few days of intermittent fasting here and there, but they've just slowly added to my weight loss and I haven't seen any benefits from them yet. Hoping that one big fast will shift some things in the right direction once I get around to it.

I've also been going through a pretty stressful few weeks at work and some emotional turmoil in my private life (ex gf stuff that I knew would blow up sooner or later, lol), so I'm sure that's a big factor in this downswing.

Hey Niles

How are you going these days? have you got back onto ARL or H2 water, did your results come through for the GI Map?

Hey man. Still waiting on the GI map, but luckily since going off ARL my digestion has improved significantly. Still bad, but back to how it was before ARL (no bloating/stomach pain). I'm on 1/3 liter of H2 water every day as of now, and I'm tolerating it well. It can make me a bit tired if I chug it, but sipping it over 15min feels fine. I just have to trust that it's doing good things at this point lol. Still not back on ARL either - gonna try to have at least a week of good digestion before I go back on.

A part of me wants to just wait until July and send in a hair test to TEI, since their supps seem to be a bit gentler than ARL and I'm in a pretty volatile state right now. I'm thinking maybe TEI until plateau, with some detox for dummies in-between rounds, then ARL to finish off the balancing. Still thinking about it, though.

Got my GI Map in today! Some levels are off, but doesn't look terrible all-in-all. Unless anyone can look at it and say otherwise lol. Still need to go review it with my doctor.

New hair test is in (TEI this time):

Looks like I'm back down in four lows :/ The elevated sodium/potassium on my last test crashed, but it seemed weird that they shot up in the first place since I was on heavy Ca/Mg doses. I'm not too bummed about that, because I half expected it to happen.

What I'm really concerned about is a path forward - I can tell just by glancing at the TEI supplement recommendations that they do things VERY differently than ARL for four lows. So the question is, should I go back to my ARL four lows protocol or try out the TEI four lows protocol? I'm tempted to go the TEI route, because the only way to know for sure is to try it out... Any suggestions?

I like the tei supps. I’m on a similar protocol and it definitely helps.
Was there any uncomfortable adjustment period when you started?

Nope just positives for me. I wasn’t on the full protocol. I have a similar test. Took the sym pak along with copper and digestive enzymes(hcl) and felt good right off the bat. Still do.
